Progress on 2e

Yeah, I know. Of course I could always play EA during the Early Years and Third Age periods before switching, ala Sheridan, to the ISA.

The ISA fleet list is very small, even with the new additions from 2e. The EA have quite a few ships to choose from. The fact that the EA would get the use of one of the ISA's few ships does not leave a good taste in my mouth. I would rather see the EA get their own ship than access to our Victory class.

Maybe if the EA had a shortage of ships or the ISA had quite a few, my mind could change. As it stands, with only one war choice and one armageddon choice in the ISA, I don't feel comfortable giving the EA more choices in those brackets. Even using the Allies rule, the ISA can't normally get a FAP worth of ships in the War or Armageddon range.

I am total agreement with you, it seems that EA get all the attention, all the benefits. Next thing you know they will get a Narn G'Quan or a Centauri Primus. I think the Victory should stay ISA only, EA has plenty of choice available already

It's one ship, and I mean ONE ship, the Excaliber, in a campaign, once it's dead, it's dead, it's a very expensive one off ship, that most EA players wouldn't consider risking. Wouldn't worry about it in the slightest, the Narn can take the KBT, the Brakiri can take the Brickvoki, and build multiples. EA don't get that, they top out at war, and have one ship. Assuming I have read the second ed update correctly anyway.

That maybe the case, and ok for campaigns but its no doubt a ship that will get fielded a lot in high priority one of gmes which most are..

yeah, but think how many Sho Kov torpedo cutters you can send against it, crit fishing :-)

they will probably give it abbai shields or something else ridiculous to make it uber powerful so the 1AD shot how many times still won't do anything!!

Especially when there's far more reason to have at least 1 unique Whitestar in the Minbari list. Or allow ISA members to have ISA support (since it works the other way around for some reason).

Are you going to restrict the Victory's ISD to 5 years? ISDs are completely pointless - I've yet to see a campaign (and needless to say not a tourney) that will eliminate often whole fleets (Dilgar, Shadows, Vorlons) by enforcing ISDs. And the whole thing here is that you're adding a ship to a fleet roster which they could quite happily use in a tournament.

Or is the Victory going to be added in the same way as the Blackstar and other E-M war ships, or Dusk Coutari (i.e. scenario specific)?

So does the Excaliber get Galens ship as well for free??

thats true, so does that mean the EA are going to get a Unique technomage Pinnance too? If the EA are getting a Victory then surely the drakh should get a Shadow Cloud......

Does EA also get a free unique Great Machine On Draal's Planet with Babylon 5?
Do Psi Corps get a unique Shadow Ship that was launched from Ganymede, is immune to telepathic jamming, although the in service dates would be about 30 minutes :P

you mean the useless, unused plot device which never did anything to the shadows at the end of season 3?

Ivanova used it to intercept the conversation between Clark and Morden, which basically caused the Earth Civil War.
She also used it to find the First Ones, without them Coriana VI would have been a bit of a disaster.
It allowed B4 to travel through time, saving the present by weakening the Shadows forces in the past.

But most importantly...

Draal's holographic imaging system allowed Sheridan to give more speaches, to a much bigger audience! Go Sherry Pie!

Will Mongoose add the unique characters for the game in a separate section of the book or will they put out a second book with characters?

*Imagining Anna in a Shadow Vessel, Ivanava in a Whitestar, Garribaldi in a Starfurry flight.*

That has to be done. It would make the games more interesting, no?
