Problems with BFevo packaging

Mongoose
Got most of my preorders and bought a couple of boxes from my LGS and ran into a few problems. First, I bought one of the USMC Abrams w/o the cage around the rear of the turret :? . That problem is being addressed by Mongoose. Next, three of the eight MEA figures in a box had their bases pop off at the slightest amount of pressure. I'm talking, snipping the packaging wire with cutters, pulling out the figure by its head while the wire runs through the legs and *pop*, figure seperated from base. Not a huge problem, some superglue will fix 'em right up, but watch out while handling them.

Finally, 4 of my 8 EFTF infantry had the packaging wire glued to the base or their boots. I had a heck of a time removing it with tweezers while trying not to damage the paint and keeping the MEA leg poppers in the back of my mind. Just a little heads up for the MG boys to keep tabs on the warehouse folks. Don't want them to slack off too much.

hehehe

after about 6 boxes i found sniping the wire on the topside near the base worked well so the fell out rather than pulled.

also out of 15 boxes of infantry i had about 3-4 of the figs with the tie stuff stuck to the bases, but fortunatly it came free very easily.

my concern is the boxes they seem to start to fall apart on the shelf after a while although i did notice some boxes had clear tabs stuck to the boxes making them more secure.

Two of my nine Marines had the twist tie glued to the base. One I had no choice but to goober up and repaint the boot and base. Still. I love these little dudes! :D

That's exactly what I did, and that small amount of wire was still enough to dislodge them.

I had one brit with the wire glued to the base, also the clear plastic on the front was flapping loose on all three of my packages and about 40% of the others in the store (I tried to take open packages since I didn't care). Of the 20 or so infantry boxes available only 1 had a figure totally off the base.

I had a brit kneeling grenadier (I think) loose his arm. A quick dap of superglue gel and he was sorted. One MEA became detached from his base whilst removing him from the packaging, again a dab of superglue and he was fine.

I ran into the problem with the ties being glued to the base, but kept at with my snips... After Mr Evil had first let on about having dislodged models from their bases (after the open day) though I was a bit more careful, and pulled them by their bases.

Still pulled one MEA militiamen off his base. But all was fixed without incident.
Still hoping to get a pair of Chally's tonight, and another huge order tomorrow.
