Prices

Wow, have i missed something or has the prices gone up for the Dredd Miniatures? The Fatties and Holocaust Judge have almost doubled in price, the last time i looked they were only £5.99 each...Which makes getting a Fattie Stampede very expensive. My force was only five men strong but £50 is a bit steep for a skirmish force.

I understand that theres probably a reason for this rise, and the Fatties especially, are pretty hefty, but that certainly gives your wallet a big dent, and anyone wanting a Stampede will probably have to slowly build them up over months, unless they have money to burn of course. Just an idea but maybe a set like 3 for £20 or something along those lines will make a Fattie stampede a bit more accessible

There is, unfortunately, an awful lot of metal in those Fatties (which is sort of the point of them, I accept :)).

Prices for raw metal is nastily high at the moment, and while we want to keep the Dredd range accessible on price, we still need to be able to earn a crust on them.

The Fatties are there for mercenaries or a full blown stampede (which is a lot of fun!) for those who want them, and there are certainly plenty of cheaper options in the rest of the range.

Ow! Sheepdip!!!

I meant to get a Fattie for the past two months and now it's gonna cost $5 more! Doh...

And all the figures have gone up a buck. Doh! Guess it couldn't last forever.

Don't worry Matthew, still an excellent price.

As suggested, build up over time anyway!

However, perhaps making it possible to choose which parts you get on the web-page would make the extra couple of quid worth all the more...

I personally have held off ordering them until I can see them in person and get the ones I want, or until you put them on the page like that. I know it's a lot of work, but it would go a long way.

However exciting ACTA:NA might be, I am still holding out for the Judge Dredd day, should there be one... :)

I had a fattie, and one of the things I noticed was that not only are they wide, but seem to be very tall.

Seems odd that someone who is extremely fat would also grow in height. Have you considered setting the height of the mini more realistically, thereby reducing costs and making a more rounded miniature?

Fatties are quite often depicted as very tall in the comic tho...

and i have some stories where they are depicted as the same rough height as everyone else.

but even so, you compare a metal fattie to a judge, and the judge only comes up to the fatties bust. They look like they would be well over 18 inches taller than a judge, as scale goes.

Im not complaining about them, they well represent what they are in game, but if the cost of metal is an issue, making them a more realistic height would lower the costs (apart from the fact you would have to remake them from scratch!)

The Fatties did seem to change in size in the stories but I think that was down to the artist.

I may buy one as a giant fattie.

Glad I bought a couple when JD figures first came out, I think they were £2.50 for three. Regular height, just more rotund with a belly wheel.
