Awesome. I'll have to look at these when I'm not at work .

Did notice that there is no LAMI LT, LAMI Comm Pack Trooper, or LAMI Sniper(or PAMI sniper for that matter). That's a bummer.

What does Enhanced mean in terms of a unit's category? For example, the Fed Net Reporter is an Enhanced Card, while the Javelin Trooper is a Special. Are there limited numbers of Enhanced or Special? Are there limited numbers of Specials? Can I have a Fed Net reporter in each LAMI Squad? Can I have 7 Javelins in a power suit squad?

hmmmm
all looks pretty cool :D

no flamers in powersuit squad

javelin guy added as a support choice for 40 pts

Can someone with BF evo confirmwhat the army build mechanic is?
ie buy 2 squads get 1 support etc.....?

:D

Erm... reroll ANY damage dice?
That's LAMI fire king for just 25 points.

Looks a bit over the top to me. In the MI book it sais the reporter allows to reroll any ONE damage dice.

Any Morita dice. Pretty good still, but no rerolls on the missiles. The reroll on the missiles will be missed (pun intended)

In general, it is one Support for each Squad/Swarm. There are a few new terms here though. The Javelin Trooper is Special, not sure what that means. There are also Enhanced units, again, not sure what that means. When perusing the Bugs, it looked like Enhanced meant Support(like Swarm means Squad), but the MI and Skinnies have Support units as well as Enhanced units. Armor is 1 per 2 Squads, and I am guessing Heavy is 1 per 2 Swarms. 1 Command unit, so no multiple brains...

There are surely some likes and some dislikes.
And a lot of questions.

Likes:

+ Enhanced Battle System: finally they are putting good use to their onboard com systems in their suits (there never was enough difference between a LAMI and PAMI and EXO LT in my eyes except the stat line)

+ Military Intelligence Agent: feels more like the guy in the book. I like it except for that Veteran Trait (looks like a Harlequin to me).

+ Changes on the Holepunch and the Firecracker: losing the Accurate trait for the Holepunch seems fine to me. And the Firecracker became much more deadly (no artillery fire needed, only direct fire and still rolling 2D6 for every model within 3" is very good)

+ Hel infantry flamer going from D10+2 to D6+2
This weapon used to be some kind of uber weapon. So it is logical that something needed to be done. Maybe a piercing trait should be added.
A Warriors survivability should be almost zero when hit with that kind of weapon, and a Tanker should be able to waltz through it unscathed.
I'd also add that any model within 1" of a model targeted by this weapon gets a D6 damage without bonuses.

Dislikes:

+ Why oh why does a Lt need a better Target and Kill score than a regular trooper?
For instance: it seems wrong that a Grizzly that is bulkier is weaker in armor than the Cougar (which can evade thanks to his Mercury Jets)
To show this they should make him faster than the Grizzlies.

+ Pee Wee still isn't a straight Tank killer and right now the Mi will have a tough nut to crack when facing a Tanker. A Tanker should be hard to kill but some missiles should be able to do the thing.

+ Veterans: seem too much like a Harlequin sort of thing. While I see the why a dodge save would be given to most officers, it still is something I don't like.

+ The new scatter rules???

+ The new Tunneling rules??? If we get enough models we can use to detect movement then it's oké. In games there was always this kinda anxiety to see those blips getting closer and not knowing what to expect. Of course we jumped or moved out of their way but that's what made the game dynamic and fun.
As it is now (I know they have to mind the shattering rule) I think that a tunneling unit of Warriors will become that much deadlier.

+ Ignore first failed armour save, ignore first 2, ignore first 4, ignore first 7, ignore the ignore rule and just give us our hits like boxes on the card.
It does the same but I don't like the wording. Takes too much place on a card as is and boxes on a card are easier to track the damage than putting a die next to the model our counters. Tends to confuse a game.
(whoops, rolled all my dice and just hit that failed armour save marker. Now how much failed armour saves dit it fail?)

All in all, I like the introduction of cards. Combining them into a force should almost be a game on its own.

Thanks for the preview

:?
Not to sure what the point of a Wasp squadran without flamers is, don't get me wrong tripple thuds are alright, but I always thought the flight of flaming death was a pretty cool tactic :D

MI aren't as nerfed a I was originally thinking, seems like its gonna be even harder to knock out their command nowadays, but thats balanced against all the bug improvements. Should make for some fun games hopefully.

Infact the only thing I dont like is that the PAMI dont seem as flexible as they were, but hopefully that'll all come with the advanced rule book.

Whys a SICON agent now called military inteligence though? Is it just a mistake or something?

While I tend to agree, we've been using blast markers to track damage for BFE and it works fairly well. If you've got them left over from GW Epic games, those'll work; I bought some etched plastic ones from Litko. The cheap can just use cotton balls. The crafty can take cotton balls, paint them red and black at the base and get little damage flames that look quite nice.

Grenades were never useful

wtf happened to my PA Snipers?

I like the new command fixes, the LT/Cougar/MI Agent are all much better

Flamers seem wierded...

I like what they did to the Javelin, but what are they thinking with the CHAS...

Overall I'm happy!

Well, they did only have room for 10 cards on the papers. If you really need them, just pull in some Fedayeen or SAS snipers from BF:Evo :). (Yeah, they're small--makes it easier for them to wiggle into good firing positions...)

I wondered this too, but perhaps it is so that MI can be turned into a black cross(correct?) force?

Aaah the size of those pictures!

Could you be merciful for those of us with not-so-fast connection and put them in zip files or something?-)

My network goes "tilt" trying to download that swarm of pictures

edit: Hurah! This got into 2nd page! Now following discussion about these should be easier ;-)

Wasn't Military Intelligence how they were referred to in the film ?
Haven't read the book for a while so I'm not sure about what there equivalent was called there.

And that "dodge" roll someone mentioned: There's a psychic power that gives the figure this ability, they've just included it as standard.

Gripes:No PAMI flamers, no Power Suited psychics possible, limited ways to detect tunnellers (I can live with the new tunnel rules otherwise), and where's my Marauders !!

Of course, all this may well change with the rulebook/new releases etc.
Perhaps Marauder Suits could add the ability to detect tunnelling bugs (as in the CGI series) and "listening posts" (as in the book) could appear - "Frying Bacon" Mr. Rico.

wasnt there a split in the book between SICON and military inteligence? I'm about 85% certain that the bloike who catches the brain bug at the end of the book (And so by extension the film since thats one ofthe few parts which is pretty accurate), and Im almost as certain the psychic in the cartoon series are all SICON agents.
Been a couple of years since I read the book so theres a degree of uncertainty...

Seems a bit weird not to call them SICON, it just sounds more sci fi than Military Inteligence.
I like the power and the veterancy skil, kinda makes up for them not being able to bounce :D

Sorry bout that. The images are straight from my photobucket account, which doesn't allow for zipping. I tried zipping and hosting on my free BT site, but the zip was too big.

I'll see how small I can get them without making them unreadable.

I've loaded them into a word file for now, reduced file size to 26KB each file
If anyone wants a copy of them let me know (PM) and I'll email them to you
