Possible Traveller Project

Here is an odd one, and it is more for my own personal interest than any great commercial enterprise (!).

If anyone fancies using The Vehicle Handbook to design armoured vehicles of WWII, we would give serious consideration to publishing them. New weapons based on particular WWII weaponry would be permissable.

Interested parties should contact me at msprange@mongoosepublishing.com

Tis an interesting idea. Certainly I was looking at how the Lee Enfield fitted into Traveller stats.

Did you see the freebie Catalyst games book that created WW2 vehicles for Battletech.?

You thinking of doing a time travel scenario? We would need a mix of World War II vehicles and Traveller vehicles to do that. Such as some nefarious Solomani agent from the future trying to change history by helping the Third Reich with advanced weaponry?

We could use the same prior careers Army, Navy, Scouts, Marines etc. We would need separate career tables geared for the World War II era. I think the equipment lists should be denominated in US dollars if we're doing a Traveller setting set in that era. This could be fun!

Sort of reminds me of that Captain America Movie with those "Hydra Weapons" set in World War II. Throwing in Traveller tech into 1944 would have that feel. I think a Battle of the Bulge scenario would be interesting, this was the time that Hitler was unleashing his V2 weapons in our history. the late introduction of Traveller Tech could make the Battle of he Bulge a more near thing, bloodier for the Allies for certain, they would be in need of heroes to fight the Germans and their sudden advanced weaponry, laser rifles, air/rafts etc and they would have World War II equipment and items captured from German troops to do it with.

It might be interesting to see how the various vehicles would stack up, especially the difference between a 17 pounder and an eighty eight.

Though the two vehicles that would be applicable to Traveller would be the Jeep and the Kubelwagon.
