Is there anything in any sourcebook about games like go or chess or poker?

I believe Gurps Nobles referenced chess as the game of the nobility, and also poker. Chess was the more prestigious game, and poker was extremely popular.

Poker, and standard playing cards, are a key part of the opening scene of the old "Aces & Eights" adventure from the original JTAS in 1982 (258-1108 Imperial Reckoning).

Deraabelar [der-AAB-el-ur, de-RAAB-e-lur] –noun. [Origin circa - 2200 Imperial, loan word from the Anglic, but with connotations of distance because of its similarity to the Vilani rabelar, far away]. 1. One who goes far away, or has gone far away and returned. 2. A rogue. 3. A popular Terran role-playing game transplanted to the worlds of the First Imperium.

Time travel is confusing.

Ship from 3rd imperium misjumps, goes back in time, their historical data is made into an RPG, that RPG survives until 3rd imperium which is somehow the same.

So all traveller RPG sessions are canon and dictate events that happen in some future branch of 3rd Imperium history?
