I'd say scholar for a variety of reasons. Yet mostly my desire to overcome intellectual challenges and the pride of doing so. That and scholars get all the temple/sacrificial virgins. Ahem.

On a more serious note... I see little motivation myself to really even -play- anything else in this system aside from perhaps a thief. Assuming of course your GM isn't hitting you with nonstop combat after combat after combat after combat... and that would not be a game I would want to play in anyway. Of course YMMV.

Oh. And Wizardry/Sorcery is just cool. Come on. Search Your Feelings. You Know It To Be True...

Though I enjoy playing soldier-types.....the scholar calls to me. Studying scrolls of dark and mysterious black arts by candlelight, sacrificing an offering to increase my power, lashing out at my enemies with the Black Plague....it doesn't get any better than that!

As a professional fund-raiser, I was forced to choose between thief and pirate... as I tend to deal with large non-cash transactions - I went with pirate...

I'm an Army vet and have a special love for the woods, nature, and animals. I shun civilization and urban life for the most part, but I know it has it's purpose and use, and also that it needs to be defended. I think I would find my niche as a Borderer.
