Pocket Edition - What's Different

Are there any plans to do the other "core" books (Mercenary, High Guard and Scouts) in the Pocket format?

We'll have to see how the first one goes! No plans as yet.

It is indeed a resized version, with the smaller 8 point (I think) box texts at the bottom of some pages removed.

So long as it is only fluff that gets removed, not crunch.

Has the errata been corrected? Has the comments like having something about the OTU been added...etc. Those rants over at the CofI who including myself gave a lot of constructive criticism.

The text is smaller, but still easy to read - we did a test run of the RuneQuest Deluxe book in this format a month ago, and it looks sweet!

Of course, the RQ Deluxe book could be reduced if not to pocket size then at least to the small size of Eden's books by simply trimming the margins.

Quick note about the pocket book.

...which means I wil find it difficult to read.

*However* I shall still purchase it, because I'm obsessive about these sorts of things.... :lol:

It's out now. I acquired one on Saturday. Being the gearhead that I am, I did notice that the reformat seems to have thoroughly jacked the deckplans for the Heavy Freighter.

New Chargen artwork, though. MUCH better.

Oh geez...

that's gonna make it really tough for anyone designing ships with just the Pocket edition.

Removing footnotes is one thing; dumping an important table is another.

Guess I'll be waiting until this gets corrected to get a copy of this.
