The retailer at my local FLGS basically had a good thing or two to say about the pocket book edition of Traveller.
In essence, the kind of customers who buy this book are "the briefcase crowd," mature professionals who have started to come back to roleplaying after a gap of so many years. Having a tiny LBB to lug around means a much lighter burden in their valises.
It's also a hugely lighter burden on their wallets, too. And, as regular customers, my local FLGS likes everything that keeps the regulars coming back for more. The retailer suggested that putting such a small price on the MGLBB was a coup: it's almost the price they used to sell the old CT LBBs!
So, then, a comment from my retailer. Thumbs up to Mongoose. And can you look into reissuing the other sourcebooks as LBBs, too? That would be really much appreciated, judging by the way the damned things keep flying off the shelves.
Lot of diehard Traveller grognards in Manchester, and apparently there have been on and off since the 80s. It must be the engineering college just down the road.
