Plying the Bowman Arm, and more

I'm sure everyone would enjoy me stotting my ship off the inside of space stations. Even the docking computer crashes on my behalf - advanced computer learning maybe? It's decided that's how I like to fly.

This applies to the PC version, though it's from some time ago:

I've seen this happen sometimes. If you are on the correct side of the station and are stopped or very slow when you activate it, it's fine. "Slow" would be based on the acceleration of the ship. If it does crash you in this position, support will usually refund the ship loss (at least they did for me when I was playing around 2016-2017 the one time I did it on the wrong side of the station).

In my case it was the docking computer amusingly failing to line up on the entrance properly and bouncing off the wall, no serious damage. But funny since the docking computer is supposed to be competent...

It was programmed by grandfather and only meant to talk to other Droyne systems, anything else and it gets confused.

Sometimes other shps can cause a collsiion. Traffic control is rudimentary.

Could even be a bug. The quality of game software is universally terrible because players are a captive audience. Esport titles tend be a bit better because of spectators.
