Continuing our support of the epic Pirates of Drinax campaign, we are proud to present a new supplement covering the Harrier-class Commerce Raider!

You can grab your own copy here: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/219723/Pirates-of-Drinax-Harrier-class-Commerce-Raider?affiliate_id=7242

The Harrier-class commerce raider is the starship used in the Pirates of Drinax epic campaign. It is loaned to the Travellers by King Oleb of Drinax as both a means of transportation and instrument of policy. Although the ship is advanced, it is in poor condition due to age and long years of neglect. Repairing and perhaps upgrading the Harrier is likely to be an important goal in the campaign.

This supplement presents the Harrier in more detail, along with expanded rules for repairs and upgrades, showing you exactly what life is like on board this ship - there may even be a few special items tucked away that have yet to be discovered...

The map and descriptions don't seem to match up (the numbering is different, though that's confusing more than anything),

There doesn't seem to be any of these areas on the deckplan:
1/ Command Office,
2/ Computer room (perhaps this should be moved to the lower deck into one of the two area labelled "countermeasure suite" and renamed "tactical" or similar given is described use)
3/ Ships locker (possibly one of the rooms just off the bridge)
4/ Galley & is Stores (both on the top deck)
5/ Landing gear access (lower deck)

Is there any chance of getting these added? If you can, synching the numbers as well would make the whole thing more reader - friendly.

As an aside, the bridge and lower deck are noted as needing "3D" technical RU for repairs, on page 20,

Should this perhaps be 3 technical RU?

You repeatedly refer to the turrets as "port" and and "starboard" instead of "dorsal" and "ventral" - which is somewhat confusing...

I noticed that the non-isometric deck plans on the Drinax poster map match the text descriptions here more accurately. So that's something.

Still no "computer room off the bridge" though.

I think I'll wait to read some reactions before my next Drinax-related impulse purchase....

The deckplans for the Harrier both in the Pirates of Drinax adventure book and in the Harrier supplement seem to place the hull points of the (presumably fully repaired) Harrier at 88, but the text of the Harrier supplement, in particular the text describing the initial defect in the hull, places the hull points at 100. Which of these is correct?

Should be 88 hull points maximum for the Harrier.

The repair regime in this expansion is significantly different to what is spelled out in Pirates of Drinax volume 2. The latter mentions several more things needing repair than the former.

Just curious as to why the change?

Dan.

Nothing huge - the purpose of the supplement is to give more character to the Harrier and more things to do with it. That includes repairs!

Thanks Matthew, but that's what I mean - in the supplement there is now less to repair, just more detail to the repair procedure itself.

So I was wondering if there was a play-test rationale to it.

Think of the supplement (and, indeed, all Traveller books!) as a toolkit - the referee can dip in and take what he wishes for his campaign.

I'm not very happy with the layout of this ship. The lower deck has a huge amount of wasted space, and everything seems very cramped. Hopefully it will get a full rework before it goes to print, otherwise, I'll probably redraw it before I start the campaign.
