Pioneer - Get Ready for Launch!

OK, you are launching the campaign literally the same day I am travelling to Australia.

This, incidentally, is because I am coaching a national champion school team for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) in an international tournament - which is a bit ironic, but there you go. The team will have to design, build and present solutions to problems using lasers, apparently, in a locked room for three hours, competing against teams from all over the world. A game like Pioneer, would be right up their ally...

Anyway, if the campaign is launched while I am away, am I likely to miss out on any 'early bird’ stuff? I am fully intending to back this product with quite a lot, so I hope not!
We DO have internet in Australia, you know.

Even mobile phone coverage. Check with your provider about international roaming, or pay for some local credit.

Might also have to hold your phone upside down to compensate for the Coriolis effect.
And do it from inside a sealed, armoured vehicle to avoid dying to snakes, shellfish, jellyfish, crocodiles, spiders, poisonous marsupials or that guy with the run-down house who hunts and kills backpackers.

Edit: just kidding if you do that the heat will kill you.

The Pioneer RPG Kickstarter launches on Oct 30th!

Players build spacecraft from different modules; boosters, capsules and internal equipment, balancing mission requirements with enough fuel to get there and back again safely.

Almost time to cue up Also Sprach Zarathusa...

Can we make the Blue Danube Waltz the official Pioneer theme song?

It will be interesting to see where they go with AI.

Edit: that is to say, actual in-setting AI and automation, not "using AI to produce the rulebook".

The main issue is that the campaign will be launched when I am sitting on a plane or between venues. If I get a free moment in a hotel room, I may try to have a look - but taking a team abroad is pretty full on.

Yeah, I was being just a little facetious. Obviously you could be out of communication for a bunch of reasons.

I doubt you'll need to be online the minute it launches though. Sometime that week at the most... most Kickstarters run a few weeks before any phase changes.
