Pictures of Forth, SST Prepaints, Tanks

I dunno, I like the look of the Forth, and I'd rather a bunch of races that look fundamentally different to each other, even down to the size of the average models than bland homogeny on the battlefield
Meh, as long as I can see em on the table I can blast em

I like them! Especially the Forth, of course they look alot like the old Robotech Invid and I love Robotech. I still like my bugs and MI, though I will be investing in some of those. Just wish I could get a closer look. :(

The Forth do possess a strong resemblance to the Invid. I really miss Robotech. I'm really digging that red & white one!

That blue one though-ugh. Maybe it will look better in person but well-ugh.

As far as the tanks go- That's better than 90% of us can do (according to msprange)? Is MGP really saying that the vast majority of players out there can't paint a tank one solid color then slap a few highlights on it? How sad for us. On the other hand, paint aside, they do look like nice models.

White one looks nice, not too keen on the blue one though... :)
The blue Forth looks like an Ikea-Mech

I've been trying to work out what that model was triggering in my brain, and that's it.
Thank god for you :)

'Forth wiped out due to losing assembly instructions'

You're lying. You must be lying because that's too good to be true!

Details man! Details!

It was meant to be out last year, but hell, it's almost here.

Ahhaa! Now I will get to see something robotech, as the books are never in the library when I go there, but they're there I know it! I'm not paranoid!!!

I'm going to get the red and white one 8)

I've all the books bar 4 (the first two and the three Invid invasion ones), and they've not aged that well. If you were to get any three, I'd get the "lost generation" ones, books 19-21

I've only ever seen one book, and then it was gone....
oh and talking about that library, there was a aliens book series, I found and read the first book, and never seen it again, or the others as they get borrowed constantly from the library :?
Anyhoo

The aliens books are terrible, you'd be better off trying to track down the three graphic novels they're based on that were published between Aliens and Alien3 coming out - Aliens, Aliens book 2, and Aliens Earth Hive. The guy who worte them is a senior writer on Battlestar Galactica now

But which books do you think I read?

IMHO the grizzlys look like a re do of grenadier's "troopers" put out in the late 80s. I am refering to the weapons pods on the shoulders. However seeing the grizzlys painted I would rather use them as the drop pods.

as for the 'forth', the red and white model it kinda look like the zentradi officers battle pod that bred with an eldar walker of GW. Painted like the imperium.

As for the blue one it looks like an invid with the mumps with out the weapons pods on the back.

they looks like something you would see in a bad anime cartoon. Sort of like that dragon mech series escaflowne.

Come guys I know your designers can do far better than this. AS for prepainted do them as special order.

Oh well I'll just wait for the sling shot to come out and call it a day.

The metal grizzlys have been out for months. Of course they are based on the novel power suits, so the description of over the shoulder weapons was around long before the 80s.

AS for prepainted do them as special order.

I guess you haven't heard the news.

Re: the Forth models.

Glad to see that they used my "Sign of the Prophet" insignia and the alphabet I came up with.

I like that there are not exactly 26 letters in the alphabet.

Why is there no 0?

Do they really count in base 10 like people? I assume they have 10 fingers...

It's all gonna be moot, but here's the rationale:

Three primary digits per hand. No, they don't count in base 10. Their alphabet harkens back to the time when they first scratched things in the dirt, on rocks, etc., using three claws on the primary digits.

There is no "zero" figure because I was trying to get into an alien psyche: their attitude is " how do you show nothing?" In mathematics, the "null" or "zero" will be shown by a space in the equation to denote absence...

As I said, it's all moot, since there won't be anymore "fluff" to speak of.
