the MI and bugs-look good. the forth-the wihite one is absolutely great(even if it does look like the good old 'Rex  )..the blue one looks to toy-like in this paintscheme:D

I can see me re-painting all my Forth in the White/Red Scheme.

Note I never said they were bad, just not my thing. The minis...........That may just be another story

Are to assume that Judge Dredd will be another of the EVO lines then? :?:

They're probably the last of the Gangs of Mega city 1 figures.

I can imagine like four of the five pilots in the army having names, then the guys in the blue suit being called 'Gold Teeth McSwank'.

The blue one is clearly trying to pass off as a swedish marauder;)

very nice stuff i must say, *starts saving money*

To clarify things. The Exosuits, LAMI, Forth, tanks, and bugs were prepainted. The skinny speeders were in with the traditional figures and are not pre-paints.

In my opinion the tanks looked a little on the small side for 28mm.

Mongoose also had an example of the packaging and cards for a BF evo squad. I should have taken a coser look at those but didn't, so I can't tell you more sorry.

Omigod guys, anyone who doesn't like the Forth is crazy. I must say though that the pic doesn't quite show the coolness of the blue one.

I believe their respective names are - Fenris (Red/White) Command Unit

Fenos Fighting Machine (blue)

I've learned enough from Chris at the office that the Fenris is eeeevil.

I'm sorry to say the pic doesn't do justice to the LAMI, either, they look awesome in reality. In fact, all the pre-paints do imo.

the whote forth is interesting, i orignally didn't like the model, but with color on it it looks good, even though i don't think the color schemes optimal.
the blue one just looks...awful....

i don't think i will buy them, originally i thought i'd like the idea of prepainted models, but as forth models are pretty smooth, thus easy to paint, i would have had a lot of fun with them, but repainting this things, one by one, and all of them completely...how did they think that the cool "every forth fighting machine can have its own paint scheme" approach would work with prepaints?
i mean which kind of colors am i supposed to use to cover that nightmarishly cartonny bright horror forth colors?

Was there art or a pic of the minis on the cards?

You do know these are only prototypes, right? For a game coming out in April. That's a lot of time for things to change. What's more it's more than likely that there will be variation in colour scheme - it's not done by robots, it's done by an army of elite painters.

Spray paint tends to give nice solid basecoat to work from in my experience.

Spray, paint, varnish. That's how I do my models

when repainting some BattleTech minis recently I literally just drybrushed over the extant paint scheme. Of course this was deliberate to leave patches of the original paint showing, but it covered well.

I for one would like to see a figure. I liked the pictures, and even though mongoose has yet to give us a good pitcure show of the mini's, I thank you for your time and effort on them.

If the fig's are to this standard, we will be seeing a reemergance of the game, HOWEVER...

Toot the Forth horn if you want, they just don't go along with the SST line.
Maybe Mongoose could do a mecha game, or a skirmish game with them. I have no opinion on the paint scheme, but from what it looks like, these models DO look like EXOSQUAD. Bring on the NEOSAPIANS, and lets get them in on the action as well. I'd like to see what Gov. Phaton has to say about the Arachnids. ( In case you don't know about EXOSQUAD, go look it up at:(http://www.storyboardpro.com/exosquad/exosquad_landing_01.html)

I dunno, I like the look of the Forth, and I'd rather a bunch of races that look fundamentally different to each other, even down to the size of the average models than bland homogeny on the battlefield
