Pictures of Fleet

Hi all! I have recently got my website up and running again and with that, have started to post some random pictures I had sitting around. Our group got into B5 a few months ago and have several painted fleets so far. Here are a few pictures of my Centauri. The fleet is in progress but the shipyards have stopped all work until they get the new blueprints from HQ (a.k.a. I receive the new fleet book). I will try and get some pictures of the other guys ships as well (We have a Narn player who has an absolutely gorgeous fleet).

I only have a few pictures now but will continue to update as more ships come on line.

i like what you've done with the fighters, i tried something similar but i think yours works better.

the red and yellow theme works really well and the fleet looks great together.

really nice work! 8)

how did you make the asteroids btw?

thanks in advance,

Thanks!

The astroids were made out fo a sponge. I purchased about a dozen of these round wash sponges (about the size of a grapefruit) and simply ripped them apart. Glued them to a GW flying base. Sprayed black then drybrushed greys, browns, etc. It works great. Easy and Cheap to make and they are supper light so storage is a breeze.

I like your fighters a lot. I hadnt thought about using the bases that came with them...good idea.

The two main reasons I did it my way:
1) Wasnt crazy about them sitting flat against the base
2) 4 fighters per stand makes my models stretch further (and I plan on having lots of figters...)

Very nice paint job. I am a little traditional and like to see Centauri in royal purple. Those deviant Centauri of yours look a bit "Narn" red to me.

Obviously not from one of the more established noble houses, new money can be so tacky :)

Ha! Deviant indeed :D . We of the True Royal Family have merely painted our ships to blend in more nicely with the Narn…call it our version of Narn Camo. We get close and they never know what hits them.

So what that we come from new money...we are the Rodney Dangerfield of the Centauri <queue Caddyshack music>

I actually like your colour scheme. I'm used to the purple, so this is different, but not in a bad way at all. Definitely belong to one of the lesser known Houses. Love it!

Cool looking fleet, not sure if the colour scheme is one I would use but hey...... if everyone was the same yadda yadda yadda

Love what you have done with the fighters tho.... seriously cool!

I have put GW stands on a mongoose fighter base and pinned a flight of Thunderbolts on em and they look fine will better than fine 3 of each at differant levels, picts soon.

I'd also point out that every Primus ever shown onscreen on the TV show WAS Red.....

For that matter the only Narn ship we ever see on the show that's red is the G'Quan, every other Narn ship or fighter shown tends towards greens and blues so is it really Narn red when all's said and done? :P

(personally I prefer the royal purple but thats just personal preference :P)
