The ships are 1/3000th from Skytrex. The British were mostly an ebay purchase. The Italians bougth at Salute.
The ships are mounted on plasticard, the sea painted gloss enamel dark blue. I tried to do some wake but this looked awful so we have ships serenely chugging along a glassy sea.
You'll note that (where practicable!) ships of the same type have bases the same size. All ships have a nameplate, often an abreviated version. So long as whats what is visible from several feet away. I was intending to add other details to the base (speed, target) but this was too cluttered.
The planes are 1/600th tumbling dice. Mounted on a map pin, on a 2p piece. a circle of card was needed to block the coin lettering.
