Phoenix, AZ - Campaign Sector 49

Starting February 2nd, I will be creating and launching a Babylon 5 campaign, and we will be starting from the Epsilon system (the system Babylon 5 is based in).

Over the next month, I will be collecting information and creating this session and will be posting results in this thread.

I would like to get as many players with this campaign as possible.

In order to join this campaign, please bring a 10 point Battle fleet of your chosen fleet. If you choose this fleet, it will be your fleet choice for the remainder of the campaign.

For those of you with books, please make sure you read up on the campaign rules. Please make sure your ships are named for the express purpose that, in a campaign, ships accrue damage and experience.

January 5th, next Saturday, will be a normal Babylon 5 fight. Please bring a 6 point Raid fleet, and we will start at noon. During that time, we will also be assigning crew scores and explaining the campaign more in depth.

I will also only bring my EA fleet. If you someone needs a specific ship of mine for their fleet, then let me know via PM or e-mail and I will make sure I will bring it for you.

I won't be able to make it on the 5th(Battletech Day), but I can read up on the campaign rules and hopefully get an update then.

What service dates are available? I am guessing later as there is going to be an ISA player right?

Yes, this will be in the later years so Psi Corps and ISA can play. EA must pick Crusade Era.

Reminder: This Saturday is not the campaign, but I will start explaining everything and compiling rosters.

Please bring 10 FA of Battle, either in models or on paper. I will explain the Strategic Points and how they matter during the campaign.

Please remember, when compiling your fleets, that you will need these fleets to be self-sufficient and able to keep going. If you need help choosing your fleet, make sure you come to Imperial Outpost by noon and I will help you out.

Despite the title of the thread, we will be battling for Sector 49. The planets have already been rolled, and we will take it from there. The campaign starts February 2nd.

Thank you for all that showed up. We picked up a Narn player as well as the others. We still have two players who need to draw up fleets, but as it stands, we have:

I do have to mention that, during our demo campaign game, we have perhaps one of the most memorable events in the game so far.

In a 3 way fight, Psi Corps vs ISA vs EA, Psi Corps had been all but destroyed on all sides. A single Psi Corps Mothership was attempting to jump out when the EA Apollo took out its Jump Engines. As a result of the ISA attempting to negotiate a non-agression pact in the middle of the fight, the single remaining Black Omega Starfury flew over to a mostly fresh White Star Gunship, and landed a Vital Systems Catastrophic Explosions ciritcal that destroyed the ship on the spot.

What rules did you use for a 3 way fight? in the rule book once a player is attacked at a target, no one else can pick that target to attack.

Did the the gunship explode? Did the Black Omega survive?

Nothing quite like helping the ISA die for the one.

It was a fun game, not a legitimate campaign game. We fought for a Agrarian World with a Minefield, but did a 3 way fight.

The actual campaign starts Feb 2nd.

darklord - I was hoping to use a quote from either Sinclair or Sheridan, but it escapes me. Something to the tune of "how about no?"

The Gunship exploded and took the Black Omega with it, yes. The Gunship's name changed from "Vigilance" to "Death Star".

First Day of Campaign: Saturday, February 2nd. 12:00p at Imperial Outpost.

Remember, you can always choose to attack the trade route of the system, though you may not gain alot of favor from the other players if you do.

I have arranged the LGS owner to e-mail Matt Sprange directly, so there's a good chance we will be able to purchase reinforcements directly! I'll keep you posted on that.

The following Saturdays will be pick-up games up until February. Feel free to come on by and see if someone else can blow up an ISA ship with just a single flight of fighters.

We have 10 Strategic Points, all within Sector 48.
