Sorry for the delay. Had some camera issues. Looks "functional" yet not all that pretty. PakMaRaish ;) The carrier is from AOG. I'll proxy it for some other sort of Pak ship.

Morgroth / Fraiser made some nice stats for that ship - in the pak Section of my supplement:)

Thats the effect I am aiming for, functional yet not that pretty. I like the colour of your ships, did you use ink over a white or gray base coat?

Here's the result of my test run. I havn't tidied it up (or should I say dirtied it up), or varnished it yet.

I'm not to sure how to go about making it look grubby. Part of me kind of likes how it looks now. Even pak ships must look clean at some stage, surely.

Oh, and heres my cat on his chair in the study. He came in to see what I was doing, and fell asleep.

No. Went with the black primer coat, then a basic coat using a light grey mixed with metalizer. Did a light green ink wash overall then a smoke wash over selected portions. I like the look of your as well. I'm not picturing a Pak'Ma'Ra' Michaelangelo. ;)

@ Derina. Did you drybrush over green paint or green ink, it has finished the paintjob off nicely. I just went and used the first dull green I could find. In fact, if you look at the picture you can see the very same colour on the Cadian's pants.

@ Taran. I think I would end up pulling out whats left of my hair (and get a sunburnt head) if I tryed to replicate the cat's coat on a ship. I'm not quite that good of a painter, they would probably end up looking like Drakk painted with the shakes.

Nearly finished the Pshul'shi convoy guardian, Looks ok. I was curious to see if the green/gray colour scheme would translate up to a large model, sometimes they don't.

Think I will repaint the light gray areas green as well, at least the ones on the engines.

I mentioned it because my wife started doing the same with a WLF-1 from CBT (except, she was matching it to my dogs)

I think I will have a go at this paint scheme. Looks subdued but very cool. Now, just have to get some more Pak ships

Cheers dude. Thats the look I was aiming for, I didn't want to end up with menacing Pak ships. That wouldn't really fit with the discription of the race. I think I will use the Uruk hal as a 'counts as' warbird. The mini just doesn't strike me as something that is lumbering, it looks fast. (I think the original AoG fluff had it as a fast vessel)

Unfortunaty I can't give you the paint mix i used to get the gray. Usually I note down the combination as I mix (I mix with ml marked eyedroppers), but for some reason I didn't with this colour. I just kind of went for it mixing chaos black into codex grey. I really don't like not being able to recreate a colour, especially if I'm halfway through painting an army/fleet.

I think I will stick with my light grey/metalizer mix. I like the striping scheme you have there though and that is what I want to reproduce.
