Painting Centauri Fighters

Comrades, does anyone have any tips for painting Centauri fighters? I've got some Sentris, Raziks and Rutarians to do, and currently they're flat purple. I'm wondering if I should put any gold sections on them - the majority of my fleet are in purple and gold - and if so, where? Also, which bits should/could be highlighted in silver? I'm thinking of doing the obvious guns in silver, but the models are so tiny it'd be quite difficult.

If anyone has any photos of their own Centauri fighters painted, I'd be very interested in seeing them.

Many thanks.

I would mix it up a bit. Paint up each wing in a specific patter. Gold fusulage purple wings... Purple fusulage silver wings gold weapons... and so on.

Well mine are pretty much paited as per the book (i.e. wings purple and main body gold), I paint all of my Centauri with a dark red as a base (and grey where needed) and then use a purple inkwash before adding the gold bits (and in some cases silver). I'll try and get some pic's up when I knock off from work but as I'm not a fantastic painter they may seem a little basic but it might give you some inspiration :)

About the best you can do is put a streak of gold down the fuselage and put a dot of yellow for the engine glow. Well, unless you have super steay hands, a 100x magnifier glass and the smallest brush known to the hobby; the above was about the best I could do.

One furthur thing is do a drybrush of a diferent shade of purple. My base color is Reaper Royal purple and GW Warlock purple, about 20/80 mix, and htne drybrushed straight warlock purple over the top. The minis end up with sort of a "glow" thats hard to describe.

Hello. Well there are a coulple of diffrent ways for you to go about this. A Squdren is 12-14 fighters so 2 bases. I like to paint my fighters slightly different, adding diffrent actsence to show what ship they come from. As for how to paint they. Go nuts its what ever you like. I think that most of the purple ships are poorly done. (purple is a very very differcult to paint well IMO).

I paint my Sentris with a gold fuselage and purple wings

Raziks are Purple fuselage, gold central wings and purple wing tips

Rutarians are Purple with gold fuselage
