Each maps set has it's own Sector Book that goes into the details your looking for.

One doesn't need the large map, the Sector book is just finewithout the map but it can be nice to have.

The systems on the map use the regular data available in other products. Spinward Marches, Reft Sector, most of the Alien Modules and so on. Depending on which sector.
