Outmaneuver question

I must admit I don't see a problem between miniatures and Outmanouvre. It all depends on how literally you take your battlemap and miniature positions. However in cases with little furniture or some other sort of obstacle, I would require the player to move into a suitable position before using outmanouvre.

Very literal. Cheating would go over like a lead balloon.

I don't mean cheat. I mean: does the position describe an exact position, or does it describe the general position of the character? Example: "Ragni is standing ½ metre behind the table" vs. "Ragni is at the table, occasionally darting out to the sides, to put it between himself and the opponent".

Exact. Everything lives in it's own 5 ft square (or some 3m based value)

Well, if you're using that approach - then Outmanoeuvre could pose a problem. To me it doesn't as I use the battle map in very general terms - to allow the flexibility of some manoeuvres.
