Outbreak of War Pre-Career Event

Has anyone else had the thought that the outcome when you roll 11 on the Pre-Career event table is a little strange if you are already enrolled in a military academy?

The event makes sense for someone who is enrolled in university, but for someone in a military academy, surely:

1) They are unlikely to run away; although this could be possible
2) They wouldn't be drafted, but stay in the discipline they are already enrolled to. When you enroll you must choose Army, Navy or Marines, so surely this is the career they will end up in? Again, it's possible that the Army needs more recruits, so will draft from the Navy cadets...but really??

Thoughts?

Maybe a referee could over-rule this event (I know I would), to allow the cadet to stay in the same discipline they chose initially.

I could see it happening. If you enroll in a planetary military academy and the Imperium decides they need you, the planet doesn't have much recourse.

Or perhaps the academy itself was attacked by rebels or an invading army. (A common theme in the anime I've been watching lately.)

And someone who enrolled because of economic reasons or they thought they could become an officer and land a cushy desk job might run away.

I think that if you are in a military academy that the odds of staying should be greater than that of a normal university. While grauenwolf has listed some good reasons for it to happen, I just think it shouldn't be a common event. 8)
