My experience is if you really ride your supplier about things, or at least what your supplier regards as too much, you tend to get worse service than if you treat them as professionals, and with courtesy.
Yeah, the image of someone at a fast-food restaurant spitting in your burger when you hassle them too much comes to mind
As has been mentioned, if they're out of that particular part it may sit waiting for some more to be ordered in (if you're outside the US where it all gets made) or cast up (if you're in the US and even the main warehouse is out of them). Chris is usually very good at answering "where is it?" emails, and to the best of my knowledge doesn't spit on your miniatures order when hassled
Reminds me of a little story... (prepare to be bored). Many years ago I was working in IT support and someone committed the worst possible offence imaginable by a minion in a service role - they went over my head because they wouldn't accept where I'd prioritised their job in relation to everyone elses. Obviously, everyone with a problem wanted it fixed yesterday, but this person had a brand new dot matrix printer (just so you can tell how long ago this was!) to be installed. I always ranked someone who was without a facility that had been working far above new installations, but the person in question decided to go over my head, and over my bosses head to get their install prioritised. Ten minutes later the call from on high came down to get it in that afternoon. Fifteen minutes later the printer had a nasty accident as I was carrying it down a flight of stairs.
Had they just asked nicely they'd have gotten it installed within a couple of days. Instead they ended up waiting another two weeks a replacement to be bought in.
Anyway, I just wanted to share that, but should also emphasise that Mongoose treat their customers a lot better than I treated my old work colleagues

Also I'd like to say I draw no comparisons whatsoever between this story and this particular problem (in case I offended anyone, I didn't mean to!), it was just Cuda's comment that triggered an old memory
