After a very close game, with some very jammy dice rolling, Shai Alyt Alex's fleet accepted the surrender from Laranos;
Game was Space Superiority, terrain was 3 asteroid fields (see screeny below) the image shown is as it was when Laran resigned in Turn 4.
End score: to me: 1 Morshin, 7 Nials and 1 Flyer
To Laran: 1 Torotha and 1 Nial
I lost set up and init first turn (though I forgot my scout reroll - no matter)
Laran started with one Tigara in Hyperspace, I started with 2 Torothas in Hyperspace. Everything else began on the board.
His Morshin was situated between the two asteroid fields in the top left, his Tigara above it. My Sharlin was situated just behind the Asteroid field on my side, with the Morshin above it, and the Leshath further up.
Turn one, a quick jp bomb managed to wipe out one of my nials, which I recovered, and did 5/3 damage to the Morshin.
In return, 2 jps opened up on Laran's Morshin and did considerable damage and a -4 speed crit.
No other firing was possible - turn two, both Torothas enter through one JP, one having to all stop to come in close to the Morshin's aft, the other having to come out to its port side and turn in to just get forward arc. Only 2 Nials were able to get onto the first Torotha's base, and one sat off, not entering its minibeam arcs.
The first torotha took minor damage and -1ad crit from the fighters. However between them, both Torothas managed to pile on damage against the Morshin, further reducing its speed.
The Sharlin and Leshath attempt to get closer to the Neshatan, which is sat still in the middle of the table. The off-board Tigara closes its jp and waits.
Turn 3, and the Morshin limps forwards, with the Torothas nipping at its flanks. The Neshatan sits still, and the Tigara tries to get round behind the Leshath. The Leshath and Sharlin close into range, and reduce the stealth on the Neshatan
Meanwhile, fighters pile onto both Torothas, destroying one, but failing to destroy the other, which promptly 6/5 crits the Morshin with its pulsars, blowing it up, and taking most of the fighters with it.
My fighters pile on to the Tigara, but the game is called before they fire...
The leshath and the Sharlin fail to do anything to the Neshatan, whilst the Neshatan pops off a few fighters which are recovered by the Morshin.
At this point, the game was called as shown...
