Omega Command Destroyer up

it's the lack of model that pisses me off most about the mothership, I'm fine with it at war, I just think waiting 6 months for a model, and then seeing new sculpts released is a kick in the teeth....
I get the distint impression, and I'm sure others do to, and I have said it before, EA will always get better support than other races. The command omega has been flawed long enough for it to have been done, it was ignored before as you could take a warlock. other ships from other races have been in dire need of upgrades too. . . lets hope they come soon to prove a fair hand

how long people been waiting for t'rakk though? and why does every new release come back to the damn dilgar and drakh again.
It's the same as many topics. Some issues have a few people campaigning very hard for certain changes to the game (new Dilgar ships, new Drakh ships, improving the Kutai, nerfing the Prefect to name a few). They tend to pipe up whenever a certain topic is mentioned or even vaguely relevant.

not stiker tho, just print off then stick in your book :) same differance, especially if have access to laminater or other shiny cover things.

thats wrong .... with the new warmachine book we got stickers in the book after major typos in the Khador section seams only right that we get stickers for the updates.

true but that was before it was released they put them in. any copies of armageddon sold now or SFOS should have similar stickers in IMO.

It comes back to the Dilgar and Drakh again, because those players, who feel abandoned already, keep seeing new models coming out for the already model-heavy races.

New models, may I add, require new molds, and yet the Drakh Mothership mold still hasn't been fixed.

That, and we keep getting told the same old story, time and time again - "You'll get your stuff SOON".

Not soon enough, I fear.

Well I quite like the mini but as for new stats, the command omega as it stands, IS a bit of a damp squib but I dont think it really needs restating. Just fix the smegging warlock and I for one would be happy as a clam about the EA Crusade list. Yes even with the Nemesis as it stands.

Well, I don't think they really needed a new mold for the Command Omega as it was just matching up the rotating section from the Poseidon to an Omega hull.

I think the t'raak is an old AOG mold, but I'm not sure.

SEveral thoughts come to mind.

1 The command omega was fine as it was. it was never supposed to be an uber-Omega, just a slightly more powerful omega to be used to command squadrons of three Omega. it is a ship perfect for Armageddon level games, where a single point at armageddon gets you either 3 omegas, or two omegas and a command omega, which makes it worthwhile

2 Why oh why do people complain about weak ships? Not all ships are created equal and some of the examples of 'weak' ships I've just seen quoted I regard as powerful ships that always get results, so some of this is just the old addage, your not using it right. Besides, for those of us outside of the uber-competative tournement circle, having bad ships to have fun with is a good thing.

3 The command omega is an obvious conversion using existing parts, it hasn't diverted massive amounts of work, even if molds had to be altered, it's nowhere near to the work of designing new ships.

4 To those others out there awaiting drakh motherships/carriers (I am one of you) I have a suggestion. The minitures are produced by another company by subcontract, which is american and has basically been shafting mongoose over the ships because it's a british company. Now it's only a theory, but maybe you should cut the guys at mongoose some fragging slack! They are gamers, give em the benefit of the doubt.

OK, rant over

Because even friendly games have an element of competition. But sometimes playing with 'interesting' ships is fun too, you're right.

True. I'm guessing it is a gap-filler in the release schedule, while they get the Armageddon ships right.

Actually the metal facility is part of Mongoose. Plastics are produced by subcontract. The problems aren't just limited to the Drakh, they also include the several Armageddon ships.

If I had paid for one of these ships, I too would be very pissed off. I'm just waiting to buy one or two (if I have the cash when they finally come out).

What is new about a Poseidon rotating section or an old AOG T'Rakk? :?

As for molds I've been waiting ages for a decent Octurion mould so it's not just Drakh players

even before the Cmd. Omega wasn't much of a war choice, most people thought the regular Omega is was a weak battle choice because of its boresights. previously, there was little real choice between taking a Warlock or Command Omega, the warlock was clearly better. As a result it was almost never used. now the warlock is armageddon, so they want to make the command omega a more viable War choice.
