old B5 miniatures I saw at the lgs

One of the local stores has a small selection of ACTA miniatures. They also have a small selection of 28mm B5 figures made by Mongoose. They just say Babylon 5 miniatures on them. They have some Minbari warrior caste, Centauri Royal Guard and some Narn warriors. They look like small units of troops for a skirmish level B5 ground combat sort of game.

What were these made for?

I saw some of the GORPOS <sp?> figures at my FLGS, although I don't plan play that particular game. :)

For those interested, the store is "The Bookstore" in Radcliff, KY USA. Jerry should be able to ship them for you.

For the RPG?

A unit of 8 Centauri Royal Guard with what looks like an identifiable leader is more what I would expect from a tabletop wargame. It's a bit odd for an assortment of models for an RPG.

WEll, I PMed msprange once about these minis and if anymore were coming out, and was told it was highly likely that more would be made in the future. I am sensing Babylon 5: Evolution with War Without End being pushed back for so long now. :)

Im guessing theyre 'tester' minis for a new game.

What Oldbury said, the 28 mm figs are for the RPG.

LBH

silly man you don't understand. Im guessing they are testing to see how well they sell, marketing them as RPG models so that they know they will sell if they release a game.

I'm waiting for the assorted races box of minis so that I can use them for the RPG. Then I'll pick up the racial boxes as I need them.

I'd like to see that too. The Evo rules are so nice it'd be a shame not to adapt them for more games.
