cant believe no one has mentioned the red helmet aliens :D
that whole episode was pretty crap in fact and they just added to the crapness.

Hehe, did not even remember that episode! It was crap alright, they just "sent a fleet in to see if it survives, if it does then they will come with even a bigger army"...hah, it leaves so much open

BYRON should have never been made.

I didn't like the guy from TKO or the episode TKO from the first season for that matter. Anyone remember him?
That was definitely the worst episode from season 1. Although interesting for RL reasons:

The character Walker Smith was named after RL boxer Sugar Ray Robinson whose real name was Walker Smith. The actor who played him died on April 12 1998, Sugar Ray Robinson died on April 12 1989.

Also this episode is the origination of the Narn Bat Squad, from a quote by JMS on usenet regarding a Zima logo shown in the Zocolo, "Actually, the idea of Zima lasting even into 1995 is hysterical. I keep fighting the urge to have some guy show up on B5, "Zo then I zays to him, nize ztation"...and five Narns just jump on him and beat the sh*t out of him, WHAMWHAMWHAMWHAMWHAM!"

I liked the targeting system fromLegends. It was a really unique idea. .

I think the Tylon ships from Earth, final conflict had a similar targeting system. Where you touched a vertial screen. Only thing is that they did it 1000 times better. No super annoying kung fu chick for one thing.

OH, the Bloodsport episode. I can't recall what they called it....

not kumite, I hope.

The Grey 13 episode , I cannot watch it at all.

The other bit was the Shadow and Vorlon talking like kids that they wanted to go with Lorien. A bad conclusion to an excellent story arc.

The most deadly sport in the Galaxy, No human has ever fought in the Mutai.... because it's actually really lame if you watch it, I've seen more violent fights in a panto!

Spin-offs in general have been disappointment... crusade-trek and rangers didn't have anything. Wait, the x-files episode of Crusade was fun :)

Oh yes, Byron & his folk... I can't help but hearing Cartman shouting "Hippies! I hate those goddamn hippies!"

Naw. It was a great episode. The "red aliens" were just backdrop. The story was about our two maintenance guys.

What was innovative was that there were no "controls" to be monitored and manipulated. She was able to strike out physically and the ship interpreted the action and fired accordingly. Maybe you would have been happier with a less frenetic actress? I thought that the whole concept was pretty cool.

didn't like them two either.......................

I am quite impressed that you found B5 flawless - same as my view of Underworld 1 and 2, Resident Evil.............. :)

Flawless? Naw. I'm just cognizant of the limitations of television production budgets and how that can keep you from doing all you want. Also, since most of the material came from one writer, its pretty impressive that the quality was as good as it was. I'm a big Rod Serling fan but not every episode of Twilight Zone lights up the screen either.
It is in my nature to see the good in everything as much as I can. To look past the pedestrian and see the little gem that is hidden within. To paraphrase Marcus Cole, "my universe is a little more interesting place than yours" ;)

Why do people keep wanting to call it "Grey 13"?
It was Grey 17.
"Grey 17 Is Missing" is the name of the episode. Season 3.

Cool? So instead of a touchscreen, mental impulses or voice control you instead carry out physically demanding and energy draining martial arts moves.....
hmm great military concept.......

You "see" the tactical situation without having to read and intrpret displays, you strike and the ship fires. Yes indeed, very cool. I suppose that they could have had her sit in a chair in a dark room and intimate that all of this was happening in her mind, but then that wouldn't have been too exciting on screen and we would be whining about how dull it all was. Yes?

Well, you are both wrong then ;)

I stand by original statement... Hate that kungfu chick sequence.

We can argue all we want about the "why", but fact is, I still hate it.

We have the right to hate

Nice looking woman with great assets and you want to hate her? tsk tsk Hate the kung fu kick baby, not the chick. ;)

Remember; unless you are a big buck actor, when the director asks you to do something, you do it. If you are lucky, they will ask you for your opinion. If not, you do goofy, kung fu kicks. ;>

Hate the kung fu chick sequence. Nuff said..

Nice look, but the kicking screaming is a major turn down for me...
