Ok, Mongoose...whats up? We need product in the Colonies!

To you guys in Mongoose, I don't know the story behind why its hard to order anything but please, we need product for our stores in the US. I can't speak for the entire US but over here in New Jersey I can't get anything from my two stores I play out of. I especially want to get product on the shelves of one of them and their distributer can't get anything.

Does anyone know whats up? Can our stores get stuff from you guys directly? If not, do you know when things will be resolved?

I just would like to know. I can't get anymore jump gates and I need Shadow Furries for my scenario that I am running at a convention.

thanks,

Things are much the same here where I live in Texas. I've checked with every game store that I know of in the area and none of them carry anything. I live in the Dallas area too, so it's not like I'm in some backwater town!

think you will find everyone is having problems at the moment, weather your in the UK or in the USA :( before 2nd edition came out we found at our gaming club we would get our goodies within a week of ordering, now its weeks on end. we were told Mongoose@s suppliers pushed back their products to complete orders for the big gaming conventions in the USA before or around the Thanks giving holidays.

if you look through the forum, you will see a number of posts about the UK, New Zealand, Austria, US etc and model distribution. Apparantly ACTA has been hitting too high a demand for the Mongoose to meet, so Matt said somethign about changing procedures.. including Quality control (my G''Vrahn must have eluded them ;-) ) and that all orders should be rolling out. Heck, Matt says he's posting me my mothership! whoo!

Distribution has always been one of the main problem MGP's game had to face.
It was REALLY ugly last year, but it got significantly better since the end of the last year and is constantly getting better since that.

I have stated in another thread that FRP games in CA. has stock of items on hand and if not instock they deal direct with MGP and can get the items in rather quickly. Yes your game store can deal directly with MGP, as Matt has stated in another thread concerning this same matter. I am not a shill for FRP, it is just that I get my models with very few delays and great communication when any problems arise. Our local game shop is dealing with MGP directly now. In the other thread there is a link and instructions on what a store needs to do to order direct. Hope this helps.

Well, look at the bright side! If its a simple problem of supply versus demand than I think its great that there are so many people that are demanding minis for this game that they can't keep up with it. It shows that this game will be continuing a huge success in the long run.

Aside from that, I have told both stores that I go to that they could go directly to Mongoose but I think they don't want to piss off their suppliers. I am not sure of all the details but I just simple told them to get ships in as soon as they can and by what ever means necessary.

Hiffano? Gets a mothership? Wait a minute...then what will he have to complain about? No no no... I have to step in and say that man kind needs turmoil to grow and continue to have an interesting topic of conversation, so for the benefits of the boards please do not give him his mothership so we have something to read about in the months to come ;) .....

If they can obtain stock directly from Mongose but their supplier can't, then surely their supplier is doing something wrong?

Thats what I thought. Plus they are both within 20 miles of each other so I am thinking they might have the same supplier so it is possible that they supplier just got lazy or something or someone had a falling out with the people at Mongoose. Which I would really hope not. I mean I would be happy to order directly from the website but I don't want my two local stores to miss out on profits that will help them stay open. Not that I am saying that their only profit is this game but its nice to support your local gaming store.

Hi guys,

The rumours are true - our production chain has been fixed, and is now turning around orders in super-fast time. At the moment, if you order direct from us in the US, your order will be dispatched within a few days at the most (and all are currently going out in less than a week). For those coming through to the Uk office, the turnaround is much the same, with a maximum of 10 days added on _if_ we have to get stock in from the US (which is gradually becoming less and less frequent as we build up stock here).

As for distributors and retailers, we are currently supplying all in good standing, and doing so within the time frames above.

oh, I missed a package today, I shall pop by the post office tomorow or Saturday morning, I will indeed send pictures!

My LGS owner tells me that he has been in communications with Mr. Sprange and they are coming to terms with product. This is after months of silence from distributors.

frp games gives you about 15-20% off price...

My local game shop will order what I want but that's about it. There really is not backing for this game.

And not everyone can order from FRP.

why not? if it is the same frp games they have an ebay store with almost every acta product in stock. that is where I used to order my models from, when my LGS stopped being reliable

Don't forget some gaming stores might not want to since there isn't a following....thats why I try to game there every week regularly, running demos and scenarios to interest other players. Also if the distributor decides not to deal with Mongoose, its not the store's fault. They can't help it if their source decides not to sell it. Then they would have to directly contact Mongoose for orders.
