Chicken and egg :)

"Why support OGL if nobody plays it?"
"Why play OGL if nobody supports it?"

So we're trying to jumpstart things a bit here.

would this theoretical zine have articles on games like jeremiah, conan, and the forthcoming infernum? or would it just stick to OGL horror, OGL steampunk, OGL wild west, OGL cyberpunk and the like?

Only those that can be legally used... ie Horror, Steampunk, Wild West, Cyberpunk, etc. Although some material would be cross-d20 (think articles on vehicles, weapons, etc)

We'd be taking credit card payments, paypal or a cheque/international money order made out in UK£. I'll look into whether taking a US$ cheque would work for us, and am hoping to come back with a positive answer :)

It is possible but the banks usually take hefty fees to convert cheques in foreign currency.

Currently considering releasing our d20 Sci-fi setting through this, too... possibly putting up the whole thing in installments with subscribers having access to a complete PDF when it's all done.

The whole "magazine" model seems to make more sense to me than releasing individual scenario PDFs. Everything is more likely to be looked at because people are already subscribing, and material can be added peacemeal instead of having to fill 32/64 pages at a time.

The more I think about it, the more ideas start coming to me - having a rotation of "free article of the month" on the website so non-subscribers can see what kind of things they'll get. Competitions...

I'd definitely be interested. I suggest putting official (if you can get the permission) or unofficial errata and maybe some character sheets for each product in there as well.

if you take paypal for inside england sweet

I'd be willing to contribute original PC and NPCs for any of the OGL 5 RPGs on a regular basis (CyberNet being my prefered) and well as Adventure Hooks and Brief Scenarios.

Just doing some final feasibility checks.. if it all works out I'll be taking you up on that! :D

Have set up a seperate discussion area at http://www.dancingdryad.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=10 to break down the various topics that need discussing for an OGL Magazine - feel free to come join in if you're interested in becoming a contributor or in helping shape the project.
