Number of Aircraft in box sets...

Lorcan Nagle

Mongoose
Waaaay back when, Mongoose were planning to put two of the then-plastic skyhooks in a single box set, which thanks to the vagaries of packaging would be considerably cheaper than buying two seperate skyhooks. And I'm today idly wondering if that's going to be the same case for the resin one, or will the weight and move from spries to resin parts nix that?

I also imagine resin will come in sturdier packaging which will cost more to make.

(Bubblewrap, corrugated card).

What would be nice to see is foam packaging, so that we have somewhere to put these 'larger' miniatures. I find it really hard to transport the Plasma bug (and the tanker). :?

It's not that fragile, but it does need more secure transport because resin kits come as large solid pieces like metal minis rather than sprues.

I've never really done anything with Resin, is it more fragile than normal plastic?

Depends a great deal on the type of resin used. Some can be very brittle, some can be quite sturdy. Often the resin used in large vehicle models in on the sturdier end of things.

I would assume only one per box.

oh dear... i hope we dont have to clean the resin like forgeworld, rein bug army, *gulp* i know what i would be doing in the shower lol.
