Other than the very dated 1001 Traveller Characters book from the 80’s, do we know where to find great archetype NPC stat blocks for Traveller would be?

Cheeky answer and no link :?

It's not really cheeky. It's a reference to this: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/79659/Supplement-7-1001-Characters?cPath=161_4511. And it's fair to wonder if there's anything wrong with it. (Though it was also fairly obvious from your initial post that you didn't seem to be aware that there was a MgT 1e revamp of the 1,001 Characters book.)

I have the hardcover printing. It's excellent.

I avoid using archetypes, tropes, and stereotypes for my NPCs at all costs. Don't want my game sessions to be lame.

So... all your NPCs are bowls of tapioca pudding?

Seriously, I don't see how you can avoid using tropes. No matter what you do, there's a trope for that.

I forgot to add cliche characters to that list. But it's just common sense not to use them in game sessions.

All, thank you. I am aware of all the previous versions of Traveller I just didn’t know they did a newer 1001 characters, I got it now and it’s great! Thanks again :^)

That's not really an answer. O.o

Every one of my NPCs has an 18-page backstory, full family tree at least 3 generations back, a heatmap of their social relationships across at least the nearest large metro areas and a 2-3 page psychological profile which I have AI check against at least the first-tier 1-paragraph writeups I have of every npc the players have ever encountered in order to ensure every character in every sense is entirely unique and has a deeply interesting backstory.

So my game sessions aren't lame.

Wow... a six year old thread-necro to rebut a guy who hasn't posted here for 14 months.
Now THAT is a dead horse. ;)

I have 1001 Characters and like it well enough, but in practice I've always used, am still using in 2e, the two page spread from 1e core. Much handier at the table, and covers most of what I need.

We need more smileys. I'd like to give your post a horse or skull or tombstone or something, but no.
