I got a bad copy to start with a very tight spine, crooked pages and cropping but mongoose replaced it for me so if you are having these problems drop them a line. The replacement book was very good indeed. I do know how you feel though waiting for the book and then it turns up sub standard. The turn around on this was great though.

It was worth the pain though the book is really really good.

I thought so but they even said me that if the book had sign after reading it's not a production fault. But the tight spine make the book unusable and probably will break i after some uses so I think this is a production fault.
You can clearly feel the pain of the book being ripped and streatched when you read it. You saw what I wrote. I wish they'll change my book and refund the shipping cost. They said that they can refund only in case of production fault and not use fault.

Is who has the good copy able to open the book easly at at least 90-150° to read even the word on the side near the center of the book? Are the side solid and the stitches doesn't rip the side pages? I want a book that can be readed without being damaged by that.

no book for 20+ days

no email reply since thursday

i don"t make myself a monkey

and started a paypal dispute

seems like often be the only way to get things work

edit: got a reply now, still have to wait

why doesn"t Mongoose sell to amazon?

should that hardcover book be a special collecter edition?

edit2: MIK0, you bought the mega deal?

I sent three mails and didn't get any reply since last wednesday. I will start my fourth one in a few minutes. Mongoose should know that we are not just "people who give them money" BUT also readers. As I preordered my book on the 14th July, I will start a procedure to get back my money and a compensation for the prejudice in one week, if I don't get the book in this lapse of time (and I really doubt I will get it). After this fourth e-mail, I don't want to send them e-mails anymore, I was very polite in my three e-mails and they didn't bother.

No, I bought only the first book, I didn't have the money and I wanted check if it was worth first. I'm glad I didn't take the megadeal.

The Hardcover are Collector's edition but my copy was made in a way that it's difficult to read. You dont notice it at first because externally, apart the damage for the insufficient package protection that make the corners slighly angled and got a bump on the side and the slighlty adrift cover the book is good to see. But opening it you see what's the problem. You need 2 strong hand to open the book, and is really hard to turn the pages. Also you feel the book slowly ripping apart. It's not broken now but surely it'll break so I'll resend it back.

For my experience however I have to say that mongoose replyed at all my email at least in 1-2 days.

Very strange, I was polite in all my mails. I even quoted the e-mail that was automatically sent to me when I bought the book to prove them I bought it just in case of... Didn't get a reply in a week now...

I really don't understand and am very disapointed... :(

Just a doubt. What's the email address you used. I mailed to sales@ but I saw that here was mentioned Rveal@
maybe that's could help.
However in my reply mail was never mentioned a first defective batch.

I used rveal@mongoosepublishing.com... I will try sales@ now :) Thanks for helping me (and thanks for your answer on the Project Aon Forums as well).

They do normally, but they have stated that the collector's editions are only going to be available direct from Mongoose, the paperback versions they release later wil be available for Amazon to buy I assume.

Well, still no book for me in Dayton, Ohio, but I did get a lightning fast response from Mongoose. I was told my book will arrive in the U.S. warehouse on Thursday and will promptly go out after that. A little longer than I wanted to wait, but I can live.

not me. i bought at 31.07

now i should wait 2 more weeks
it was promised all books will go out last week

others ordered weeks later
and already got their book.

i am more than angry about mongoose

Any update from Mongoose? Have all the back orders now been shipped? I'd like to know I will receive Flight from the Dark before Fire on the Water :)

I've still not received mine, and under their T&C's they say they will get the book out within 28 days.

Its now 30 days and counting.

You will, though the last people to get Flight from the Dark will likely see Fire on the Water just a few days after!

I still don't have the book... As I said a lot of days before, I pre-ordered it ont the 14th July... As I didn't receive it, I didn't pre-ordered the second book. Russel answered me one time in 6 or 7 e-mails, and said me that I should get the book soon. But it's now 8 days since he told me that, and still no Flight from the Dark...
