Actually, Mongoose prioritizing shipping to the Megadeal customers should not only be expected, but applauded, considering the hefty sum they have shelled out for the books.

I find this comment completely offensive and disgusting. Why should those of us long-time fans who have been waiting for years for the resumption of the Lone Wolf books, yet can't for whatever reason afford the megadeal, be penalised?

An order, no matter the source, is still an order, and should therefore be fulfilled. I received a confirmation email for the order on the 4th of July, over three weeks before the projected shipiing date (and four weeks before the actual one), therefore sufficient supplies should have been ordered in to fulfil my order.

I can only assume you are one of those who are indeed lucky enough not to have more pressing financial concerns and could afford the megadeal, and have received your copy of the book.

Well, I don't know if Megadeal buyers have been prioritized since nothing has appeared on my doorstep here in Germany yet... Sad

have you read this other topic?

Our International Hub (HWDC) is on official strike until 19.00 on Tuesday 7th August. As a result, Royal Mail’s international services, Airsure, International Signed For and Airmail will be subject to delays.

Maybe you try a call to Royal Mail telling you like to have prioritized delivery ;-)

main point i"ll get no misprint... already got that matter with Book 28

Because you did not pay US$599 for the set of books.

Please venture out into some other industries. You will find that most of them prioritize to their higher volume customers. That includes most, if not all, retail stores.

I'm sure you will be able to survive an extra week or two without the book. For the record, I am part of the Megadeal but I have yet to receive the book. I, however, am not partial to the histrionics displayed so far on these threads.

As someone else noted, it's been a little more than a mere week since the release date, there are serious floods in the UK, there is a postal strike, and Mongoose apparently underestimated demand for the books, which is a good thing.

You all need to take a deep breath and relax.

LOL!

While I agree with you Tabris, with emotions running so high on this subject I sense some rather terse replies coming your way.

I have yet to recieve my book (I ordered just the first two) but I can appreciate the situation with postal strikes etc. I am patiently waiting for my copy to land sometime soon.

I only forked out for the megadeal yesterday so shall see what happens. I had no idea this rerelease(upgrade?!) was in the works so was pretty excited about it. I'm going to have to compromise a little on the arguements above. Whilst i agree the megadeal should get priority over the single volume orders in the last minute rush before publishing date - everyone who ordered well in advance (both megadeal & single volume) should have priority over the last week scramble.

Well if you're gonna take that line Tabris, I may as well discount your ignorance as you have obviously placed your mind into a certain frameset. I'm not gonna rise to your obvious baiting tactics, though, as I would like to remain on these boards. I will exercise my right to make my view known.

I, however, being a student of business, understand the importance of fulfilling ANY AND ALL orders made (and at the very least preorders) to keep your customers happy.

Now I understand that MGP have a monopoly on the publication of LW, and therefore need not worry about their client base migrating elsewhere for supply of this line, but surely they should be concerned about word-of-mouth for their other lines.

If it was not MGP's intention to ship all orders made on the stated date (31st July pushed back to 1st August) then a mention of this should have been made on the webpage, or, even more courteously, via email (I'm not even talking about a personal email to all concerned, a simple mass mail would have sufficed).

Anyhoo, the facts are:

1 - MGP state shipping date as 1 August 2007

2 - Yes there has been flooding in our part of the UK, but Swindon's problems would have been long gone before the shipping date and no mention has been made of any flood damage to MGP.

3 - Unless the supplier was in the flood-hit Gloucestershire, MGP should have received sufficient supplies to meet the demand.

4 - The postal strikes are a set of one-day strikes until the 17th. On the other days, the postal workers are working. Even if you assume that the postal workers in the two areas strike on two separate days, this should not prove problematic to post between neighbouring counties.

5 - None of the above explains to my satisfaction why, 8 days after the amended shipping date, I still have not received a book from a publishing house to which I could drive in just over 30 minutes.

The problem is that once a backlog has built up it can take several days to shift it. The post office aren't allowing their staff to do overtime to shift it. If they did staff would make up the pay they lost for the strike plus another .25, .5 orwhatever it is for the rest of the over time. It's a pain but it may have effected the dispatch by more than just one day.

Actually, you would be very welcome to :) We would be happy to give you the (short) tour, and see the work taking place on the next set of Lone Wolf books, as well as present you with a copy of FftD.

The delays are due to nothing more than huge demand versus production time. Books are leaving every day at the moment, and the final batch to fulfil existing orders is being produced as I type.

Hope this helps!
