Newbie question - Jump travel and fuel consumption.

This is one part of the description of jump drives from MGT I don't like. I like to imagine esoteric fields and folded space, not hissing hydrogen gas. Your comment on PP fuel usage is correct. I like to imagine it is because the PP now powers the JD as it produces the Jump Field.

As long as the designated volume of jump fuel gets used, the esoteric specifics matter only to your PC Engineer, and only if he cares. Some PC Engineers are about their jobs, and some are about what happens in their off time. Very player dependent.
