Hi all,
Today I picked up an Ape Gang at the Legionary convention and came home to download the rules.
Loving the look of them already.
Sky Surfers, Robots and Judges are already being looked at aswell

But I was wondering, could someone give me a quick over view of the game?
What its like, how it works and what you think of it.

Also, can it be played on 30mm bases instead of 25mm? Or would that cause a problem?

From what I've experienced, larger bases do not impact the game. Since it is skirmish size (2-15) there isnt any fighitn over who can actually participate in close combat. also measuring shouldnt make to much of a diff either, cover is done by about how much the terrain covers the model, not the base.

Over.... hmmm.
An elevator speech:
Its a skirmish game (2-15 models) that uses 10 sided dice. All the rolls are simple, you add or subtract, ussually no more than two steps.
There are no charts with strange equations to figure things out. Combat is quick and lethal, even at higher level. The base game is 350pts (about 5 models), I consistently play 500pt games in less than an hour.

Hope that helps. Feel free to ask all the questions you like. We are all freindly here... unless you break a law, then it's the iso cubes for you.

Ps. Ape gang is fun, they easiily move all over the place and have plenty of muscle for up close.

Thanks for that.

Glad to hear about the bases as that means I can use them in another game I play aswell.

Sounds like my sort of game though. Looking forward to giving it a go.
Im sure I will have questions galore when we start.

Next question,

Some of the equipment mentions becoming a 'Flyer' but I cant seem to find that in the rules.
What does it mean?

Well for now there is no rule in the book. It's being worked on.

So you can completly ignore the rule for now, or house rule it.

I house rule it with: flyers can initiate melee but cannot be charged, unless its a reasonable action like a guy jumping of a roof at him. Like I said though, thats just how my group uses it.
