New Ships - What Would You Like to See?

Some low PL Minbari
Crusade era low PL ships

Freighters, and Raider ships for the other races, especially the league (Pak'Ma'Ra freighters would be good).

Dilgar era ships and fighters for the League and EA and Narns.

A patrol level ship choice for the minbari. I think AoG had a little police cutter outlined with a single fusion cannon on each surface. All it has to do is be better than a single Nial flight...

A variant of the Torotha, or make the current one into the troop transport it's fluff made it out to be.

Drazi Eyehawk, though I do like the multipurpose nature of Drazi hulls, so maybe make a conversion kit to allow the basic hulls to be chopped and changed to the new configurations.

Gaim could be nice. A league race with organic technology, rather than second hand ships.

Ipsha, were seen in the show and the ships look nicely wierd.

Space-Stations, Satellites, Space docks, Jump gates.

Plastic ships and fighters would be nice too.

A supplement and ships for the shadow war in Valens time.

A Patrol level fighter flight game so you can use the large old AoG fighters.

Gaim - but not the AoG "we cannot make anything of our own", more in line with a regionally technically advanced race as alluded to in the series. Silvereye's organic idea is good as it would give them soemthing different from the other (younger) races.

Hyach - we see them and hear them and even have a peculiarity to build on (the dying out) so why not?

More wary about Ipsha - there will be so much guess work (unless JMS has written something about them?).

Not so keen idea of giving the already established league races more ships. They are supposed to represent smaller powers and would not necessarily be expected to be able to field vessels of all types and sizes.

Perhaps some sort of rules for raider conversions of other vessels?

Also second two other good ideas from Silvereye:

I'd like to see an expansion on League fleets and especially like the idea of a conversion kit for Drazi ships(I just paint diffrent nosecones at the moment). While there are calls for an Eyehawk I don't see a desperate need for one what I'd like to see is abit more variety at Raid level for Drazi as it winds me up we currently have a grand total of one ship.

A skirmish level capital ship for the ISA would be nice, now we`re stuck with a single WS in campaigns and some fighters when the dice decide on this level. The Lliandra, being a 20-year old type of `pre WS` seems a nice choice for this. Sleek looks like the Star itself, but smaller and simpler. The VR guns (uugh) could be a nice turret gun

Just some basic thoughts:

I think I understand the evolutionary process the races have gone through since the beginning of ACTA - SFOS - Armegeddon. I have no problem with races migrating to larger ships and fewer skirmish ships as costs and technology continue to evolve, i.e., EA as some other players seem to be losing sleep over.

What I would like to see are more freighters or small frigates (race specific would be nice but not a must) that are useful so races with fewer lower priority ships can substitute a fairly competitive generic frigate or destroyer or two into their fleet at lower PL's to help fill the gaps.

Also, I would like to see more scenery templates: i.e. planets, gravity wells, space debris, mines, gates, etc, in both cardboard templates we can purchase and in miniature format.

I would also like to agree with another posters request for a Minbari skirmish level ship that is not useless. Torotha is useless, unless you have regunned it in armageddon.

I have a Drazi fleet and it does tend to have low level ships. The Storm Falcon is about the only currently official variant above skirmish level. Another new model at battle or maybe war level would be nice.

I also think shadow ships should look like shadow ships, so as already suggested perhaps a battle level shadow craft that looks exactly like the current shadow ship but is just smaller would be good. Out of interest i don't know if you have the mold for a FA scale shadow ship, you may be able to relaunch that as something usefull without having to design a new model.

I would like to see a new race, but not the third space aliens.

I would like to see space stations from other races.

A template box set would also be nice.

How about a campaign from the last Shadow war?

I would like to see a B4 model, or a production model. B4 was a very successful base in the last Shadow war, so why not make one or two improved versions to take the war to the Drakh. I could see a war of vengence against the Drakh by the humans and several large mobile bases with significant firepower would be useful.

Since the Earth eventually finds a cure, a campaign to get the cure might be needed. The Drakh are supposedly watching, so when the humans get close, a combined ISA and EA fleet to get cure might be needed to get through the Drakh and their "allies".

Hi Matt,

All the current ships, fleets, fleet sets, stations etc., released in a good quality prepainted set.

B5:ACTA is a good game, I have played it many times with the counters.

BUT, I do not want to assemble and paint a whole series of metal minis.

Now that you have the technology for SST to produce a good quality prepaint set, I would definately pay for them.

I would rather see the existing models released in a new format before I see any new fleets/races/ships released.

As for Psi Corps black omega starfuries - buy normal ones and paint 'em black!

I'd like to see at least one skirmish level ship for Crusade-era EA. The Liandra type (either for ISA or Minbari). Asteroids would be good too. Gaim, rules even if they don't have new ships - I want to use those big ass Gaim warriors to board ships.
