what you mean, ive had all day, i have finished a trolligan for the missus and my drakh carrier which i think looks fantastic, cant show you the pics yet as photobucket is down for maintenance, just got a new airbrush so trying it out.
it gives a much better finish, cant see it to well on the narn as too much light on it

drakh carrier: it don´t looks like an drakh ship, nothing organic....nice details, but not drakh-like
drakh cruiser: :roll: the same,and no details, where is that from the show...???

yes your right, the surface is a little rough if wasnt evident till finall gloss coat, and i didnt want to rub it all down, looking back if i get more gvrahn i would rub em down a bit with wet and dry, still no flash, thats gotta count for something, eh?

can i ask what may be a silly q, in the rule book at the back it says complete fleet lists for certain races but it isnt is it? so why put it there like that as its a bit misleading.
this is hoping that my casual flick though today, means i didnt miss something(oopss)

It says on page 100, 'However this is only a subset of the fleet lists and a complete list can be found in the Fleet Lists book.' Was it somewhere else you were refering to?

The G'Vrahn does look better although in all honesty it looks like it should be something other than the G'Vrahn. It feels more like a lighter ship in appearance than something that almost rivals a Bin'Tak in raw firepower(or exceeds it in the forward arc).

yea thought as much, laid up in bed at mo, leg is bad so not up to a lot of reading, drugs(prescription kind) make reading difficult.
ill let you know some of the other ones as soon as i get up and about again.

The new G'Vrahn looks cool. It looks like the Narn up engineered the thentus class frigate design into a much bigger nastier vessel.

Well, the carrier reminds me of something (non-phalic), can´t quite put my finger on what it is...

I was thinking Cardasssian ships.

well here is the gaim gunship.
what i have found so far in the minis is that the quality is much better, no flash, but they all have a small amount of pitting which really only shows up on this one and the g vrahn when they are topcoated.
to be honest you dont see it in the model either until i take a close up shot, i think the camera is being cruel to them as they look very good in the flesh.

I really like the new ships. To darkknight I was wondering what color of paint he used on the Gaim ship? I have been trying to mix that same color for some EA ships and it is not turning out. Please help. Thanks for the answer in advance.

well its a black undercoat, with night blue and dark green mix bout 3 to 1,
then a silver ink coat on top of that with a satin varnish, if you want a small blue ink wash just before the silver as well.
