Subject title says it all - we will be very proud to announce a new and very wide-spanning RPG licence this Saturday at Mongoose Hall 07. . .

I hope the people attending will not be told to keep it under wraps, and that we can all hear it...

I'm sure we'll be able to pass it on, Open Day announcements are considered public domain in my experience of Mongoose Events.

Scuttlebutt on the day is however, subject to extremely prejudicial censorship by Ted Chang.

I'd be pretty happy with Fallout.

What a neat setting.

Ah, Wasteland!

That could be a pretty rich and diverse setting, and could draw from a number of sources for inspiration, such as Twilight:2000 and Gamma World (to name two ends of the spectrum). Or it could range into civilization as well, touching upon cyberpunk and Blade Runner.

And, on the fringes, there's the essence of Shadowrun and Paranoia.

Heck, Mongoose could simply publish a Paranoia sourcebook that details the wasteland...

Either Claudia Christian is 2D or you'll need a very big book.

You know what the two theories on what Smurf means are right it either means Soviet Men Under Red Father, or Socialist Men Under Red Father, anyways, I thought I would share laugh. :)

*crosses fingers* Fallout...Fallout...Fallout...Fallout...Fallout...Fallout...

Quite frankly that would make my Millenia.. :) as I am a Pipboy lovin Vault Dweller of many years who has on MANY boards let out the cry for a Fallout RPG.

I know one was in production but has apparently since becoem generic, just as well really as its previews kinda left a lot to be desired.

Well I for one was pleased (mostly) with the announcement. I've been a fan of Traveller for some years and even playtested a few T20 books for Far Future. And MJD is a nice bloke to boot :) So it will be nice to playtest a new generation of Traveller material.

Though Dear god... steer clear of TNE lol

Only downside/mix feelings part of the announcement was that Starship Troopers was being take from a d20 system and pushed along another route. Wasn't personally best pleased with that part as there was absolutely nothing wrong with it as it was. Not to mention the undoubted forthcoming outcry of people who had SST books who now discover thier game is not going to be expanded any further unless they buy a whole new set of rulebooks for a different SSt sytem...grr as a gamer that sort of malarky is a pet hate.

But Matt, im still going to camp out on your front doorstep until you tell me what the Holy Grail license is :P

Same thought I had Neo, not overly happy at that, and don't even think about bringing about B5 Traveller Edition, I will be most miffed.

At least there are no promises (as yet) to give conversion stats for the two versions, not that they've really followed through on that for B5 anyway.
