It doesn't say anywhere in the rules that you can now chop and change (which I think you should be able too) It was mentioned at release, I seem to recall the playtesters saying it wasn't swapable :-(

Exactly.

WIth 2 old barrels on the Bin'tak you could:

Round 1: 30" range Ionic Burst + 20" Short Charge (16 dice)
Round 2: Recharge + 20" Short Charge (8 dice)
Round 3 30" range Ionic Burst + 10" Shipbreaker (16 dice)
TOTAL: 40 dice (16 Ionic, 16 short, 8 breakers)

1 advanced E-mine on the G'Vrahn:
Round 1: 45" range Ionic Burst (8 dice)
Round 2: 45" range Ionic Burst (8 dice)
Round 3: 10" range Shipbreaker (8 dice)
TOTAL: 24 dice (16 Ionic, 8 breakers)

The extra range is useless in all but the rarest of situations.

Well other than the Victory, Adira, and some Ancient stuff aren't most of the Armageddon ships kind of a waste(Armageddon level, not the War level ships)?
