Two new ships have just been added to Federation forces - the Gettysburg Heavy Command Cruiser, and the Mars Battleship. Both are available for pre-order and will be shipping towards the end of November!

You can see both of these lovely ships at;

I really like the Gettysburg, I like the Mars but the price is shock, I thought it wasn't that much bigger then the Dreadnought? Where are the rules for these and will the Gettysburg be in squadron box? Possibly one with ships such as the manta ray and wolverine that got left out the others? Would certainly pick that up.

Oh, the battleships are bigger :) Much bigger :)

They will appear in squadron sets, but they will be some time in coming.

When will stats for the 2 new ships be available, and where?

That CB is kinda interesting...

Mars, dunno, looks nice, but boy it's going to cost alot of points I bet...

Any chance of a comparison pic of the Mars next to another ship? Swear each time I see the Gettysburg I want it more :P Shame my LGS can't get the singles in, hopefully they may be able to soon, but yeah :P

Take a look here at the ADB website, under this section:

http://www.starfleetgames.com/discus/

Then:

Star Fleet Universe Discussion Board: The Joint Venture with Mongoose: Starline 2500: Federation Ships: New Ships under Development: Federation Battleship USS Mars: Archive through January 17, 2012

We'll get some photos taken of the Mars leading a fleet:)

As for stats, we'll do them as a free PDF just before the miniatures start shipping.

There's a higher-res version of the Mars pic over on ADB's Facebook page.

EDIT: And I found this stashed over on ADB's Starline 2500 page:

Nice. When Are they going to be released? I'm thinking of doing an order (Manta ray with possibly a kearsage or/and the ramius blister) but if the Gettysburg is only a few months away I might as well wait for it to be released, where as if it is more then that I may do the order now.

Cool, if I were to preorder it with a couple of other blisters, would the entire order not be shipped till the Gettysburg was ready, or would the stuff that was available be shipped when the order is made and the Gettysburg then shipped when available, and if so, would postage be charge seperatly, even if they were all paid for at the same time?

Do we have to wait for the release date before we see the stats for each ship? My mouth is watering!

I'd guess the stats will go on the website or in the next journal.

Most impressive paint jobs :)

I like the Gettysberg but still not keen on the mars I am afraid

Agreed...the new heavy cruiser likes sweet, but the battleship just looks silly to me with all those warp nacelles on it.

the sfb and FC design system is that the way to get the power needed to run something that big is to add nacelles to it. the fed and klingon battle ships both have four nacelles.

Yea, I realize that. It just looks odd to me. Looking at that pic makes me dizzy :?
