I am currently making my own Starship Troopers miniatures game campaign book- Staship Troopers: Battle for Mars

It will have all the stats for the models used in it+ my own drawings+ scenarios+ important rules and more!

So far, all I have is the cover page and an idea for the first scenario.

I will be offering to e-mail my book's pages from first to last. Just give me your e-mail and I'll make a list for who is getting one.



If mongoose doesnt want me to do this, I ask you- "why? You don't want me to be creative with your game and share ideas with no profit? It's not like your losing money from this..."

Anyway, I'll be updating every so often...


P.S. (mongoose publishing) If you think my idea, when released, is good and you would like to make your own version of it, by all mean's GO FOR IT!!! The only thing I would ask for is you put my cover page idea on (with one of your artists) the cover. :lol:

great idea. just follow through to the end with it! a lotta good ideas start out and die . get it going . i had a lotta fun doing the zegama beach campaign!! lets see what you got!!

Heh. Just don't get too ambitious :D My similar book for Epic is still unfinished(then again don't have that much time...And now that I'm hundreds of km's away from my epic models playtesting scenarios is "bit" difficult). But doing it has been great fun and I'm sure you'll have fun as well :D

They can have psychic talents. A lot of people think that since Carl was a SICON agent they all must be psychic, but this is not the case. They have access to talents if they choose them as part of their Heroic Traits, just like any other MI.

I'm going to try n make my SICON Military Agent look as good as possible.


They should make a new box of light troopers, but make them the Staship Troopers movie roughnecks. They were cooler that way. I especially want Ratchzek in Light trooper form.. along with Rico, dizzy, and all the other roughnecks out there.

Oh, and lets not forget Zim!

It would just be nice to see some more custom-looking MI. Even though I am arachnid. But when it comes to human vs human (and maybe + one more human) I go with light troopers (we just give them powersuit rules, cause we can't find the klendathu book anywhere) :cry:
 
Man, I really hate the SST movie, it totally destroyed the book. They havn't come out with accurite to the book powersuits, though the Cougar/Grizzly are close. The last thing I want to see is Rico, Dizzy (who is a guy BTW), Rachzak and Zim as LAMI.

I do like your idea, though I'll have to see the finished product to truly pass judgement.
 
I was looking through parts of the book today, and all I have to say is "WOAH!!!"

When I said Woah, I mean I hated it. Why do the bugs shoot projectiles? Well, as far as movie vs book, the movie is much cooler in my opinion. I think the minis game would be CRAP if it was based completely on the book.

Don't respond to this by dissagreeing, cause I wont change my mind. end of story.


The movie didnt destroy it either, it gave it a "1 up"+ health + awsomeatude
