Sounds like you've been pretty unlucky, only a few of the eighty-odd ships I've bought had any faults I couldn't fix easily. As others have said, Mongoose are great at sorting out problems like this when they arise. I placed a large order a while back that went missing in the post and they offered to replace the lot for nothing. Fortunately the original package was returned to Mongoose before they sent another out.

They've already posted elsewhere that a number of their older molds are being redone (as you probably already know, their current ones are nearly all ones bought from AOG for the now defunct B5 WARS game) and have already taken action about casting issues.

i had a small hole in part of an omega i had but i got some model putty and plugged the gap and now its painted you cant even see the hole. Most of the problems can be easily fixed or plugged.

It's not as bad as you think, it's just older molds. It happens to all metal mini manufacturers after some time.

I don't know how many metal Catachans, Cadians & Valhallans were missing feet or rifle barrels, atleast 15.
Or so much extra flash it looked like uniform decoration. Or My Ork Wartruk that had only one tread. And the replacement that had two left treads!!!
Or the Sentinel with two right feet!!

All mini manufacturers have this problem and no amount of quality control is going to cure it. if there is a recurring problem, it is likely, as has been pointed out, due to old molds. I know GW recasts molds periodically, and Mongoose is likely to du the same.

Hell, I had a Ral Parthe(we are your mini gods) battletech fig that had so much flash I gave it to one of the mini gurus at the shop where I played stateside. He tried like hell to get the flash off and make it look decent. Had to finally give up and send for a replacement.
