Nemisis Project

Well i was not a fan of this style the swept back vampire wings looked like a 3rd edition vampire counts edition. Refusing to make one of the centrepoints of the fleet a coffin i hacked them off, went and got me a shadow omega (i used the omega as well). These photos are the result.

comments? does this look better, worse or indifferent?

With batwings and gothicyness?

Anyways have decided that I dont like the idea of putting a new upper hull onto a warlock chassis, doesnt look or fit as well!

typically i think this is more what i had in mind with the nemisis. sure the Ea are hiding their flagrant use of shadow tech with black ships and batlike wings but hey this looks cool

Wasn't the Warlock meant to be based on Shadow technology, in as much as EA scientists had learned new things from Shadow tech without actually using poor imitations of Shadow tech in the ship?

What I mean is, they got a boost to their knowledge base from pulling Shadow tech apart and applied the lessons to their own technology? Hence the heavy particle cannons instead of lasers or bastardised molecular slicers, laser/pulse arrays intead of phasing pulse cannons and so forth?

Or am I reading B5tech.com too much?

I always wanted to see a more mechanical less biological view of hidden-shadowtech. Like have strange metal pylons sticking out of your ship (like shadow tendrils but not...).

It looks shadowy but you can't quite accuse them of anything because its not actual organictech...

Not bad though too much of it screams "I am shadow tech ship!". That's just "bit" too obvious shadow influence for my taste.

EAS Titans - one of the original Warlocks - had some shadow systems in the computer network, but I believe that was the limit of its' shadow tech. The Nemesis and Marathon carry more shadow tech, in the case of the Nemesis it's somewhat visible on the hull (the wings and spines on the main gun)

I agree, a little over the top.

But to give you credit it looks a hell of alot better then the bat wings! :D

nice conversion indeed :) I tend to agree with the others about it being a bit obvious (personally Id take all the spines and bat wings off completely if I got a Nemesis (which I wont be doing anyway :P) but I must admit that fluff aside it does look WAY better than the original :D
