The BTR-80 (at5), with a bank of 5 x AT-5 Konkurs ATGM, like on the BRDM-3, does not exist. The closest you would get to this would be the BTR-90, with a larger BTR-style hull and a BMP turret on top, or the 'new' BTR-T, which is a modified T-55 hull, with a BMP (?) turret, 3 crew and space for 5 or 6 assault troops. Similiar idea to what the Israeli's did with leftover centurions. 8)
Uhhh whaa??

Oh, it's basically an old idea, started with the RAM Kangaroo in WW2, you take a basic tank hull, minus the turret and you turn it into a heavily armoured APC. The Israeli's have a whole series of "Assault" APC's based on modified Centurion hulls, the Nakpadon has extra armour, 4 or so mg's, grenade launchers and I believe, onboard mortars, with room for a small assault infantry squad.

Now, the Russians are doing the same thing with all of those leftover T-55's they have, lying around, cluttering up the place! 8)

Please can people bombard me with 28mm scale vehicles/tanks, well modern british/aussie vehicles, and maybe some helis

The tanks from Pig Iron Productions are perfect and ther's an article in the latest (?) or very recent Signs and Portents that tell you how to make a troops transport for the MI froma kid's toy you can find on ebay.

I bought three already...

No rule though, but I started a thread about it where we came up w/ some. Search my post history.
