Need some help from Slaine GM's/PLayers

Mongoose
Guys,

I am currently in the process of putting together an adventure for RQ Slaine. I have my basic proposition for the adventure, its location as well as the main villain and minions.
However, I am drawing a blank with certain aspects of the back story as well as wondering whether my main villain would be able to use magic.
I need a rationale as to why a horned hag would have a particular hatred and the need for vengeance upon a specific chieftain. This need for vengeance can only be satisfied by the kidnapping of the chieftains daughter, who happens to be renowned for her beauty.
I could go with something pretty basic but would prefer something laced with poetic justice and bitter irony.
Also, could a Horned Hag use earth magic, per the rulebook?
OK guys, anyone got any ideas.? :)

No reason why magic can not be used by the hag. Indeed I would expect her to have access to some spells (although choose them carefully or even make up a couple that suit her specifically). Most intelligent creatures have the ability to use magic, although not all of them would have the knowledge to do so.

Maybe the chieftain broke a deal where the horned hag provided him with some magical boon in the past and in return he would have to give her something to her in exchange (eg: your most loved or beautiful possession), where the hag years later turns up for payment and says said 'possession' is his daughter, much to his dismay.

As to the boon, perhaps it was help to win the hand of his wife in the first place (maybe through the use of a potion, but certainly aided by magic).

This sort of thing is pretty common in mythological tales and works well with Slaine, IMHO.

Thats exactly the sort of thing I am talking about. Thank you Mongoose Acolyte. :D
I am really looking forward to Baileoisin.
Just out of interest, How are you pronouncing it?
Ballyoshin,Ballyosheen or Ballyoshane or Billy Ocean

Ballyosheen

(Which I hope is not too far from the correct pronounciation).

I would be interested in seeing how your scenario pans out as well, so do tell once the last drop of blood has been spilled.

I think that any of the options for pronunciation are viable. I have a female friend named Roisin(Rawsheen) so I just removed the R and went with that.
As regards my adventure. I am actually considering submitting it to S&P after my group have playtested it. If I dont submit it, I will definately put it on here in a similar format to that that Toothill Man used.
