Need a quick ruling - missile countermeasures

There are a few things I didn't want to put into an unclassified discussion on a gaming forum. However, lots of things have obviously been de-classified, or generalized since I was an active service person. Here is a link to waay too much ECM info:

They do discuss deployable jammers, even towed jammers. Strap-on jammer pods (not particularly usable for civilian Traveller ships? Maybe something in a cargo pod that can be used through the bay doors [directional from the doors, though]). Anyway, there are options for defence that aren't in the Mongoose Traveller rules. Yet.

Once a piece of gear is mounted on a plane, and pictures are taken, the secret is out about 'new' gear. How it works is the real secret.

And the article uses terms and expressions that are very general. Printing 'TWT techniques' doesn't tell you what is happening, or how it is working. So, there are still secrets, even with the equipment being reported. 'Range gate pull-off' was old when I was a novice gunner.

As new technology is discovered and used, new techniques are developed, and counter-counter measures are found. It is a fight to stay ahead, and 'Electronic Warfare' is an accurate term.

I was amazed at how long the anti IR homing missile laser podule has been in use for, and that certain phased array radars can become ECM at the flick of a switch.
