Narn Mag Gun

I knew as soon as I said what I said I was gonna piss you off. I didn't mean you took everything from B5 Wars. Obviously the iconic ships and the main fiction in the show...

But even going so far as to make a Vorchan and a Demos... when there is NO on screen evidence to suggest that they are 2 different ships.

I'm just saying that although the game is based in the Babylon 5 universe, it would be silly to discount the influence that B5 Wars had on the creation of ACtA.

That's all I'm saying. Keep in mind I'm not saying this to ridicule or to undersut the effort that a lot of people have put into this game. I understand the change in game mechanics and the priority system (both unique systems) had to be created and applied to the ships that existed.

Oh, forget it. I'll shut up  .

However, when obvious boresight ships like the WS get a forward arc (when they are maneuvreable enough to boresight!), then we hear that

Now this was a debate of quite some magnitude among the playtesters, and we were 'this' close to making the White Star boresight. The arc is supposed to represent the extreme agility of the ship, in that it can make a last minute correction to remain on target to a moving enemy.

However, it was a close fought battle. . .

You are trying to be a cannon?

No offense taken.

Oh, if some of the playtesters could hear you say that :)

There is some argument with regards to weapon fits and, at one point in 2e, we tried to fit all possible combinations on to one Vorchan hull, so one ship could indeed fit everything on the screen - it really did not work. What we have done in 2e is make the Demos a simple variant of the Vorchan, rather than a new ship that copies the hull.

None discounted. However, the core source, the only thing we regard as purely canon, is the TV show. Anything else is regarded as useful where it fits and, perhaps, ignored where it does not.

My only hope is that that iconic ship get to be more played in 2nd edition.
Atm i didn't even bother to paint 4 of the 6 from the fleet box as they tend to perform poorly :/

I still play 2 of them most of time cos the design is just so cool but i'd like to play all of them and still have a fair fight ;)

Thanks msprange. I was afraid I had hit a nerve... or an ego  .

I used a fleet of 4 hoping I could prove the nay sayers wrong... but nope. Still couldn't get them to work. I killed a Hyperion... and then they died... horribly...

Almost as annoying as people saying Covran rather than Corvan...

Although the worst of them all has to be Mimbari!

i spent years playing B5 Wars and calling it a Covran im not going to stop saying covran now!

also i still say Tratharti (instead of Tikrit) and Targath (instead of Targrath)

The worst is when people post 3 or 4 times in a row on the same thread, replying to different peope. that is just so annoying. Matt's replies excepted, of course!

if you look at Warseer as an example, there is a facility for copying from multiple messages before posting, it is more difficult to do that here, you need to go back and copy and paste

But Opal Fruits are still Opal Fruits to this day, they shall never be Starburst.
