Lookin good there Bu! Now where's the medic and ammo pack dudette?
are you mentioning a modded figure carrying bandoliers of reloads? Since I didn't see a rule for one in the Klendathu Book I'd say so far no, I don't have a "walking Chinese fireworks display".
Don't you remember PFC Birdy? Got her arm melted off  .

I remember people doing a purple-ish tinge on their BDUs , but it obviously isn't blueish, oh here's a suggestion, shadow grey, I thought it was gray, but it's also blue as well(damns you you lable)

After watching it on my new large screen HD TV, its a very strange colour. Yes purplish, but it has a definite blue tinge in some lights!
Yeah, it's weird. I didn't paint my LAMI movie style for fear of screwing up the color.

It depends on the lighting, but in some of the shots there does appear to be a slight bluish tinge to the grey uniforms.

Its better than the tinge Carmen has on her uniform in the shot that's for sure...

Then again you do have to be impressed with her stamina. After having a fairly large diameter bug spine punched through her shoulder she is still capable of standing around holding a friendly conversation with her mates; despite obviously severe bloodloss and a desperate need for medical attention...

I think that just about everyone saw that and wondered (I did for sure), but there is in fact an explanation that is backed up from earlier in the movie. During the "football" game there were some athletic maneuvers performed that are currently just not possible by anyone currently living. Combine that with the hints of extreme punishment like inserting knives into hands and breaking of arms by drill instructors and what you come up with is "supermen" in this future.

Think about it. These are all extreme occurrences and seeing this is outside of current experience in our biology or in our culture. People in this future have a greater ability to excel physically as well as to take severe injury with a much higher pain threshold. What we undoubtedly have here is then bio-engineered enhanced humans! This is outside of the military too as these people are displaying this in sports and some of these folks will not choose a path to citizenship. Thus it is species-wide. These people are not Homo Sapiens, but another level beyond what we are currently. That then is how I deal with Carmen's injury. I'd have inserted a quick verbal exchange in there, knowing that the audience was shocked at seeing her nonchalance-

Rico: "You should get that looked at."
Carmen: "It's nothing. Really."

Actually "Jump Ball" (as its supposed to be in the film) is played on a Low Gravity pitch.

That doesn't (however) explain how the hell Rico managed the same move during the training exercise Lol!

Precisely. And think about those boot camp injuries. There is more there than just taking a nice med-bath, eh?

He was probably sore in the morning afterwards. People can pull of amazing moves even in nromal Gravity.

And the injuries like the broken leg, arm, and knife through the hand, are all done to fairly young people. They're resiliant/

It would also explain their ability to out run nuclear blast waves and operate without any form of protection in areas that they just plastered with nuclear missiles...

Anyway it doesn't really matter I don't take the movie seriously its just a good amusing action fest! :D

I quite agree. The movies are a good method of making lightly-salted & buttered popcorn dissapear in handfuls but not something that benefits from too much logical thought.

Pinch of Salt time Lol!

I don't like Carmen anyway, such a selfish b***h LMAO!

Yeah, so I'm not the only one who wanted the torso wounds on Carmen and Dizzy to be exchanged?
