My Japanese Fleet

The Legend

Mongoose
Hi everyone.

It's been a long time since I've posted on the Mongoose forums, so I'm sure there is a lot of new faces round here. Thought I'd share my latest exploits with everyone.

The ships are from Navwar. Was rather pleased with the level of detail on. The bases are plasticard and the wave effects were made from wood filler. Work quite well I reckon.

There is more to follow including Aircraft for the Carrier and another 10 battle points worth of ships including the mighty Yamato. I'll post pics for you all to see as soon as I've done them. They're about 40% complete at the Moment.

Enjoy!

Looking good.

Our gaming group uses the Navwar ships, and are very happy with them.

I like the amount of deck detail you've been able to paint as well - must take a very steady hand!

Cheers man.

Yeah the deck took a while but I think that the overall result is well worth the extra time taken to get it right. My main concern was getting the colours right and the markings. Believe me it took a long time to find information on the markings used by the Japanese Navy. The Aricraft markings are one of the hardest things to locate though and thats why it's taken me nearly a year to finish the whole project.

That and life seems to interupt you at the most inappropriate moments. Lol!
