My Drazi

Here are some pics of my Drazi fleet as of now.

Any comments would be appreciated, good or bad. Now on to the EA Crusade.

Yep good engines and all very fine. Seems to me - only I don't like to paint transparent stands to black

I think it looks neater, I probably would. Space is black (sort of) you know.

I like to paint my stands black as that is the color of the table and with the stars painted on the stand it helps to give the illusion of no stand. I also like to be able to paint on a line for boresight weapons. Our group is not a stickler for being precise on boresight or front arc, it just makes it easier. Thanks for the comments.

Very nice, no-one here has Drazi so it is great to be able to see a fleet painted up.

how did you do the engine effect?

After painting the engines yellow I used a red and mixed in some glaze medium from Vallejo paints. It turned out darker than what I wanted. I should have mixed it to a thinner consistency. This would allow more of the yellow to show through. I am still sastisfied but they could be better.

very nice, i like the choice of colours. i paint my bases black too, i think it looks much beter.
